I don't think you can all register together, unless you register in the Priority 2 time frame, however by doing so you forfeit the Gold ticket guarantee.
As pjcrows suggests, you'll likely need to separate the gold & silver registrations.

Oi thats mine. With the great win last night, our registration date for GF tickets is next Wed 13th Sept!

I'm going in with 3 other mates. Im so excited/nervous!!
PS - I know it's a long shot, but have a 4th mate who is willing to purchase someone's Gold Ticket barcode (in the ridiculously rare chance someone isn't going to be able to utilise it)

hey im a silver member, sorry this has probably been asked but does that mean it is unlikely for me to get a GF ticket? is it near impossible to win this ballot thing and if i miss out on ballot will there be no tickets sold to the public? thanks and sorry im sure this has been posted

Or at least a box of weetbix.

Pretty much.
Silver is priority 2, so no guarantee to get a ticket. Essentially there will be about 35,000 people clamouring for around 5,000 tickets, if that.
No GF tickets go on sale to the general public.
On the bright side, legislation is before the Victorian Parliament to reduce the corporate allocation and increase the member allocations. While it won't help us this year if it passes it'll probably mean more gold memberships available, which in turn would increase the priority 2 chances in the ballot.
So if I put in with a group of 7, all priority 1 members, and we elect to go for next best available seat not including standing room, does that mean we surrender our guaranteed ticket if we don't get drawn in the ballot until after the seats are gone?
Do we get to rule out any of the other categories, like say putting a line through category 1 for being too expensive?
Also, does anyone think there'll be a difference between signing up as a 7, or a 4 and a 3? My friend is worried that being in one block of 7 will increase the likelihood we get kicked to the back of a queue or out of a category because when we get drawn, there won't be a full block of 7 seats available
