Membership numbers???

I think part of the strategy is to give the membership packages to the members before paying, therefore enticing them to sign up early. I doubt this years sign-up curve will match previous years as a result of this action and therefore projections based on previous years will probably be inaccurately high. Let's hope it gets occasional members to sign up again or that our corporate sponsors see this as added benefit through advertising.

I presume everyone here is a member anyway. As for me, I am a full memeber, living O/S, just in case we make that elusive Grand Final berth, I will be there!

It would be nice to have a link to all clubs ongoing membership tallies.

You would think we would go close to the 20,000 mark by christmas.

Firstly we had the early bird promotion where memberships bought before a particular date in October were sold at 2006 prices. Apparently that netted us around 8,500 members.

Secondly you have the very popular St Kilda calendar that is given to all people who buy a membership before christmas.

And thirdly those of us with reserved seats had to renew before December 15th to retain them. Last year we sold out level 2 with 500 people missing out and had 96% of the level 1 seats sold so the demand is only going to increase. This season they are even selling seats on level 3 near the Moorabbin Wing to cope with the demand.

We're aiming for 40,000 members next season and I would be disappointed if we finished anything less than 35,000 at the very least.
