I think it's time to draw a line under the comeback thread, filled with heartache, disappointment and anticipation (and ultimately jubilation at his VFL return), and to start afresh.

What a performance!

Just wow.

New contract for Menzel right there.

Well done to him for persevering when many would have retired.

Hope he can continue upward from here.

Do they play him against Adelaide?

Yes.
In Geelong.
He has shown he can get through an AFL game now so don't make him doubt again by resting him next week.
But in terms of Duncan or Caddy we may as well rest them because no point rushing them back now.

Do they play him against Adelaide?

No point hiding him. He's right to go you play him.A shame he wasn't played last week.

Great comeback Menz

I'd say so, after all he's been through I think he will want every game he possibly can get... as he knows how quick it can be taken away

That mark... He spent so long in the air, it was incredible. He looks like he's had years of experience, it's amazing to think he has spent years on the sideline (also difficult to not think "what if?" re is injuries). Welcome back to a future champ, may your days remain injury free :):):)

First thing, he got through the game - every twist, turn and knock had me sweating bullets, I swear at one point he had engaged in the kind of innocuous hip-and-shoulder that caused him to do his original knee injury, and I had a split second of genuine worry that he'd tweaked something.

The great thing tonight was that he showed all the skills and tricks that made him such a joy to watch before his series of unfortunate events.

Hope the rest of his career continues relatively undisrupted.
