He is signed though.

This is what people fail to recognize.

As much as we all hate Paul Connors, **** he can get his players a deal.

Why wouldn't you take the opportunity to get you (& your client) another 10% on top of what they are already on.

Hurley signed his last contract in 2012, 4 YEARS AGO and was on a rumoured $750,000 a year back then, why wouldn't he try and get more and secure financial freedom? He may not be playing his cards right with due respect to supporters, but **** me he is doing well to get himself more money. Right now, it'd be an open cheque book to get him signed long term.

2015 Collingwood recruits: Treloar, Aish, Howe
2015 Richmomd Recruits: Yarran, Moore, Townsend.
Wow either you are not very bright or not concentrating. why would i be refering to who they recruited and not on field performances and ladder positioning?

Do you know what a destination club is? You should look it up, you need all the education you can get.

Yeah it s not who else has gone there genius its what they have done on field and ladder finishes, you cant be bagging a club that has done better then you're club the last 4 years previous to this year.

First of all, you're really not in the position to be having a go at people about their intelligence.
If a club continually has high profile recruits wanting to come to them it makes them a destination club. On field success, while it does contribute to players wanting to play for you, it doesn't automatically make you a destination club.
Also, I wasn't "bagging" Richmond. You asked the question to what have Collingwood done to be more of a destination club than Richmond and I gave you an answer. Collingwood over those 3 years where Richmond have been better on field have attracted higher profile recruits, that is what has made us a bigger destination club than them.

Checks last 4 year end of season ladders. Fully agree.

Hey you started the crystal balling.

Do some research of us bottoming out v your kids making doing anything worth noting. History favours my comment over yours.
Only to suit you, history never always repeats. name the very promising North players that will lead youre side in the furure to success?

If it's purely money then I'd be ok with him going, it wouldn't make much sense for us to break the bank for a key defender when we've signed Hooker.

Take the trade and the cap space and move on
As a member of a club that's very experienced in these matters, I can say that this is the best way to look at it.

I started out gnashing teeth with Tippett....but now? Meh...stay, go, whatever. :p

Ah yes i am, first of all i don't care either way as i have no affiliate to either club, 2nd, that is way the Bulldogs Demons Saints and Giants are seen as destination clubs as the kids they have that are very promising and the rapid improvement in their wins and are likely to see September action, and according to you. players play to play in front of big crowds and have more media attention on them then on field success and 3rd both will not be participating in the pointy end of finals anytime soon but at least Richmond have the last few years almost been top 4 and played in the finals. You just want to argue and debate with people when they say things you don't agree with about your club.

Club>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Individual players.

It is how it always has been, and how it is now even more than ever. Courtesy of the AFLPA and the players themselves.

Players come and players go.

With Richards finishing up I think the Swans will also make a play. They are great at doing things quietly.
Think most teams will but dont think he wants to go interstate, but that can change. If i were him id choose the Crows or Swans or Giants

I think you're misinterpreting my post. I was replying to a guy who said players only want to play for teams who have won premierships, I was simply saying how there are other things that can be attractive to players. Who sees those four clubs as destination clubs? It's just the media at the moment. You are not a destination club until high profile recruits decide they want to play with you as far as I'm concerned. Of course I'm going to debate things I don't agree with, I can't debate on things I do agree on.

meaning you will debate when it affects and is about the team you love.

Is the media and they are right, those four clubs are because of the way they have played this year and the likelihood of success. and likelihood of success is IMO the reason a club becomes a destination club.
