Fittest and most un-hampered by injury in a good few years.

All talking about our young mids, having mick back running is the biggest plus for us.

Totally agree, the longer off season has given his body more time to recouperate. He really looks much better than last season at this stage.
His goalkicking has also improved, for a guy his age he is still really quick
off the mark.Watch out for him to really trouble Geelong next week!

Still inconsistant. When he strings five 4 goal games over the next few weeks I'll give him a wrap, but until then, he's just as libel to go missing next week and only get 1.

Was just about to start a thread about this but considering a Mick thread has been established now I'll just post it here:

All of a sudden Mick easily becomes our most important player this season. (Among a few others) I was calling for his retirement a few weeks ago, but now with Barry gone he becomes the single most vital cog to our premiership challenge. It's amazing how he was gone and ready to be put out to pasture and he's suddenly got it all back. Great to see, but he'll need to lift to another level now that Barry's gone.

Magic is a dead set Swans legend. I still love wathing him play. I remember when he came into the side and would dart round as a skinny half forward flanker.

I will be so proud when he plays his 300th game. What a milestone that will be.

He is in good form this year, got us off to a great start with our first two goals. He can be one of the factors that take us deep into September.

He is a lot more solid than those days. If you stand next to him now he is surprising big.

Anyone think that playing at FF has added an extra season or 2 to his career?

I remember he was having a lot of problems with arthritis (or something of the likes) in his knees at one point. No doubt playing up the field a bit more like in his early days maybe have cut into his career a bit.

He definately is playing great. But, we'll have to see how he goes now that Hall is out of the side. Chances are he'll get the first defender each week.

i'd love to see scarlett put on him this week
he's so elusive it would pose a completely different challenge to scarlett than hall would have
i can actually picture him tricking scarlett into getting into his back or going over the top of him, and getting a few free kicks
hopefully he'll keep kicking straight, as he is known to miss

like many others, i thought micky o was almost gone, especially after round 1, but he's been triffic since then

Nah, Micky has been building it up for a while. Its like the second coming. He's going great at the moment. If he can avoid injury he will easily get his 300 games up next year (cant wait).

Yeah, Magic would seem to be the next "go to" man. However, I rather have Magic in the goal square than Barry Hall. Magic seems to take great grabs easily in the goal square. Spectacular. :thumbsu:
