There are a couple that are under the 150,000 mark that look like getting a few games together. Who is the best pick up from these guys?

1) Steven Browne (83,500) from Carlton - scored 79 in his debut game.

2) Trent Cotchin (119,500) from Richmond - hasn't played yet but apparently about to crack into the Tigers team.

3) Sharrod Wellingham (72,600) from Collingwood - a rookie that played his first game on Anzac Day last Friday.

Add Armitage to that list.
From what im hearing Browne looks the goods.
And pretty sure Cotchin is just coming back from an injury this week? or he played in reserves last week not sure, but either way is still a few weeks away from selection.

I wouldn't make the move on any of them yet.

Browne was super impressive vs Adelaide. He'll hold his spot for this week for sure, whether he gets 3 in a row remains to be seen. Wait another week before making a decision.

Cotchin would be high on the list of potential future cheaper players of most serious DT players. Again, wouldn't make a move on him yet, best wait and see if he gets closer to selection. Once he is in the Richmond side I can't see him being dropped unless something unexpected happens.

I haven't seen Wellingham play, so I can't really comment. Purely based on DT looks to be going well but I'd wait a while yet.

Wellingham is certain to be dropped either this week or next week...
There is a number of Carlton youngsters pushing for selection, and Browne is one of those, not to sure he can hold his spot...Armitage is good though he has J.Geary, C.Jones to name a few pushing for his spot so there is a lot of opposition there also...Cotchin will be a good mid year cash cow certainly, has the matured body and has the footy smarts to make a fist of quick stardom, but I wouldn't jump on him yet...

I'm going for Ibbotson, is almost guarenteed to get most / if not all the games coming up as Freo are after some young, pacy types and only around 50k more than the rest, so I think spending that extra $$$ will give you almost a sure thing in terms of a cash cow...

Agreed. I'm very happy with my decision to trade him into my side before last round :thumbsu:

Should get many games, and play a fair portion of each of those games.

He's a fantastic cash cow and is going to be an exceptional way to upgrade to a premium in a few weeks time.

Yea Same i got ibbotson traded him for barlow looks lively and pacy good cash cow:)

damn it, was going to get Ibbotson last week, spent all night Thursday and all day Friday thinking about it and decided not to... guess i have to stick with Nicoski now, hope the crappy Eagles team bring him back with Kerr out.

I had the exact same conundrum of whether to trade Nicoski to Ibbotson or wait to see if Nicoski finally came good.

Decided not to wait another week as he had disappointed me enough and I saw it as an opportunity I would be silly not to take.

Extremely glad I traded, got rid of a useless DTer at the moment for an up-and-coming excellent cash cow who could realistically be traded for a premium defender in a few weeks when he has reached his peak.

Nicoski's price, meanwhile, seems to be going in one direction only...down

I did the same mate, only to see him clock up 99 - cost me the round.

Ended up getting him this week anyway. Will be a massive cash cow still and will play most games. I'd get him now before he goes up even further...

Ibbo does look like he could do really well this year, I'm bringing him in more for a strategic 3 way trade that will bring in 2 guns. However he might actually get a start on my team this week, if he can pull some good numbers over the next few weeks it could be an easy/cheap trade to a bottoming out gun.

What do you base this on? Im no Collingwood supporter but he looked OK on Anzac Day, and Mick likes to inject his youth into the team. Well see how he goes, you may be right.

Cotchin, from all reports, will be pushing for a spot in the seniors after the mid-year break.

Even in pre-season, Ibbo was hyped up by the Freo faithful. Expect him to play most games from here on in. Good pick up for anyone who got him.

What do I base that on...? I base it on people coming into the side and what the general fans of Collingwood think...He did do well on Anzac Day, no doubt, but he isn't in their strongest side, and they will be almost at full strength after the break...

its too late now, ive already lost $44k on the cow :(

haha, Franklin = Jordan, ive been saying that all year to my mates. how good is he! he's been my fav since 2006, ive had him in my DT every year since he started.

Being an East Fremantle supporter, I've been watching this guy for a few years(Also have a soft spot for Freo as I live here in Perth).

I think Ibbo at times looks completely lazy, then he plays games like last week and looks set to be a great player. I was going to trade Ibbo into my team last week, since SD Thompson got a game, thought it was not worth wasting a trade.

Still not 100% sure he is ready to explode, then again I think Harvey will give him every chance this year to show his worth.
