Well done to both of them on their milestones.

Both have been fantastic for us coming off the rookie list - one our best defender over the past few years (and who remains severely underrated by the general football community IMO) and a Best and Fairest winner who gets the best out of himself.

Both are huge successes coming off the rookie list and here's hoping they both play an integral part in our continued climb up the ladder not only this year but for a number of years to come.

Nothing personal against either of these 2, but from a football perspective let's hope this is the last milestone either of them reach.

They are 2 of the main reasons we have been a poor AFL side.

Both have major deficiencies.

Remember, ordinary players play a lot of games in ordinary sides...The Shaun McManus Syndrome

Congrats to both players, in particular Bret, been through the tough times..when we were getting thumped Bret copped it...good effort by both players, and Andy, captain for the day.:thumbsu:

Actually, I can't think of a side that Thornton wouldn't make, and Carrazzo would make all but probably the very top sides. Awesome work for both. Carrazzo is a real feel good story coming off the rookie list, and Thornton has put every thing into Carlton. In the dark years, he would play on the gorrillas each and every week, and do a servicable job, and now that he has been released into the HBF, he is excelling

Yeah that Richo was a complete dud. Robert Harvey? PFFT! Couldn't even win a flag!

Seriously are you taking the piss? Thornton has been (and arguably still is) our best defender for the past how ever many years. I'm amazed at how underrated the guy is.

Sure you support Carlton?
Now that Thornton doesn't have to play undersized fullback he is probably between our 5th-10th best player. Only behind Judd, Waite, Gibbs, Murphy.
Carazzo is admitedly not quite up to this standard but is a very handy player who would make probably every team except for the top couple and will be around in our team for years to come.
