Colts, he was by far and away the best player on the ground today.

My only query on him as a player is his set shot, it's stuttering, dreadful approach and his ball drop compounds the issue.

Still he kick 2 floaters through and took about 6 contested grabs. A beast.

If we did it would take a good deal for us to say yes, which is a good position to be in. Plus we'd need to replace him some how. I think he'll stay as well.

Yeah, but he's proven some ability at keeping opposing superstars goalless. I'd rate that pretty highly.

Ultimately, every player can be replaced, it's just about what the team needs. I think with 2 highly capable forwards coming back into the team next year (not to mention our developing forwards like Newman), we have more depth in our Forward line than in Defense, so maybe that's where the trade would come from?

Yeah i agree with that. I recon they might be looking to rest Glass and bring in Brown. Regardless Glass is getting a bit old in the tooth and will slow down. This may be a good way to give Brown more experience and ease him into the role.

This could also apply with the other elder statesmen like Lynch, Cox and Embley... even Kerr.

WC resting and rotating players throughout the season? It won't happen. Some here have called for it, but the MC is conservative and stubborn. WC run their best 22 into the ground when they're fit. Stuff keeping them fresh throughout the season for the bigger games, or for finals. WC don't even need such a large squad, for 15 of them are just making up the numbers.

You can't know that and if Glass retires at the end of 2013 he would have reason to stay.

We don't add class to our midfield though. We have to wait till 2013 before minidraft can play. Then we have to wait till his body is even remotely mature enough to impact games. 2016. Its not smart and does not fit WC conservative style. It won't happen unless Brown forces our hand.

Going by Nisbett's press conference, the boys are a very tight knit group and they don't really want to lose anyone. Agree that unless Brown wants to leave we'll keep him.

In the case of Martin you are talking about a genuine freak in the H.Bennell talent level, who can with a year of conditioning will play some games in 2014 and in the case of Hogan you are talking about a guy who's J.Kennedy's height at 194cm and with a year of conditioning and 1.5 AFL preseasons under his belt.
