And she'll s h i t it in with hes no pie eater to run 2nd to the great filly. Tuesday Joy ism best to stick to the oaks as it was weak as p i s s today.

Miss Finlands luck may just be up, Hes no pie eater is very promising and really did toy with his field last week. Looks to be more robust and accustomed to the WFA races, he doesnt mind a scrap and seems a bit more mature than most 3yr olds.

Re: Mf

thanks for that seth. yes i do think he is a ****er, i think he should stick to tipping winners at rockhampton on a tuesday!!

you and this fool keep undermining her achievements but she still continues to win group 1s and taking the next step. she looked in trouble with about a furlong to go, but like a champion filly, she dug deep and pulled out everything to slaughter what was an average oppostion.

he talks about her beating weak oppositon, he has shot himself in the foot, haradasun comes out and wins a gr1 against open class gallopers. if haradasun can win outside his own age group, im certain miss finland can too!!

Yes GF,isnt it great to see a 3yo that can beat the open class horses.

Any comment on the times factor?
I see she went a staggering 2 seconds slower than Tipungwuti's race.

This really is barely a discussion until Spring when/if she finally races GP 1 open class horses again.Of course, she wont be 3 anymore.

Beating up on the same horses youve already beaten up on isnt taking the next step. Its standing still not achieving anything that hasnt already been achieved.

Yep,but she's never run time in any of her wins.

I realise punters dont care but the discussion is not whether she can continually beat 3yo's.If she doesnt run the time,it goes a long way to explaining why she cant win at open Gp 1 level.

This is just post after post of rubbish. Miss Finland is an exceptional galloper. To continue to beat her own age and sex is a step as to continually prove to be better than the rest is proving consistency and longevity. She has done this all of her career. To win a Golden Slipper a Guineas an Oaks and to be an unlucky cox plate runner all before she turns 4 is freakish. Just enjoy her and stop setting yourselves up to look silly when she takes all before her like a lot have now that Haradasun has won an open G1. David Hayes is no Gai Waterhouse. He is honest about his horses and if they're a champion he says so, if the're no good he says so. Gai keeps saying everything she's got is a champion. Hayes' opinion about Miss Finland is the best guide to her ability and he rates her as world class. Thats enough for me and for you guys in case the 5 Group 1's arent. The tall poppy syndrome is alive and well in the racing game.

Time explains nothing unless we're talking 2yo sprinters. If you dont understand that you have no business on a racing web site.

Im looking forward to the explanation of this one.
Should we not bother with timing races then?

Posters here get awfully upset when presented with the facts.
Yes,for the 1000th time, she's an exceptional 3yo,thats where it ends ATM.
She's won 5 age GP1's,she's better than her other 3yo's
When/if she wins an open GP1,we can consider her better than a great 3yo.
Of course, she wont do it as a 3yo now because they have correctly decided to take the $$$,racing the same horses she continues to beat.
To suggest anything else is romantic fantasy.

Happy to be proved wrong if she finds 5 lengths & becomes a dominant WFA machine.
Have heard it all before though with dozens of star 3yo's,still waiting.

I doubt she has to find anything. She has the runs on the board against Haradasun and we saw what he did to Mentality and Apache Cat. Are you suggesting that Tuesday Joy is better than Miss Finland because she won the open age G1. You're silly but not that silly. Are you? You have failed to answer my comment that Hayes rates her as world class. Are you a better judge than him?

Times dont matter because of track condition, race tempo, weight carried etc. You tell me why times are as important as you think (more likely someone told you and you thought it sounded knowledgable) If times were Iglesia would be rated a superstar sprinter. Back to school son.

She beat a horse that won at Gp 1 so OBVIOUSLY she will win at GP 1.
What sort of fractured logic is that?
Tuesday Joy beat fillies & mares, hardly an open Gp1.

What would you expect Hayes to say? He knows that her record has a gap in it & you can tell it rankles him.At least he was the one earlier in the year admitting that if she failed at WFA (which she did),they would go the soft option of the 3yo races & the Arrowfield.

He aint silly,if she was the world beater that this board thinks she is,why wasnt she in Dubai like Singleton & Jones wanted her to be?
Youre correct about one thing,he knows his horse.

Youre very big on picking one example,eg Haradasun/Iglesia.
Nothing is that simple but to say times are irrelevant is laughable.
Times are part of a pattern,if that pattern shows that a horse continually struggles to compete at the elite level, its logical she needs to lift.

This discussion is rather pointless,MF wont be racing the older horses as a 3yo so her record remains:2 starts, both unplaced.
If she does it at 4,good for her.

Every time you post your lack of racing knowledge springs out. John Singleton actually doesn't own her mate. He would have liked her to go though so his horse (Tuesday Joy) might have a chance.

Her recent form against open group 1 winners has been excellent. Are you saying that doesn't matter?

Also Hayes' opinion is valid because he rarely talks them up. Nothing rankles him, I dont know where you get that from. But obviously you're a better judge than him.

My point was if we put too much stock in times, we don't get an accurate picture. Miss Finland only seems to do what she has to in order to win, she's lazy. She is not far off Sunline if at all as a 3 year old.

You posting that times are part of a pattern. I enjoyed that the most. Very amusing. What are you talking about young man?

Where did I say Singleton owned her?
Youre making this up as you go along.

Keep assuming you know what people think, its great stuff.
You even know that MF is lazy, what a remarkable skill you have.

This is a discussion board, why get personal? I didnt resort to insults, you think you're right, thats all that truly matters isnt it?
Let it go,the horse will prove one of us right eventually.

When you stated that Singleton and Jones wanted her to go to Dubai! Jones is a part owner Singo is not. Why would you even mention Singleton?

Craig Williams and Hayes have both stated she's lazy.

Personal? Grab a tissue champ.

Dont waste your time Seth. The Miss Finland brigade are the same ones who talk up the champion 3yo filly every year. They go on and on about how she is going to be the next immortal of the turf. The fact that they havnt been right since Sunline in 1998 doesnt stop them. My advice to you would be to continue to lay her on betfair (as I do ) every time she steps out in open group 1 company. You will finish well ahead if you do.

hey almost famous, who was the last 3yr old to win 5 group ones ranging from 1000m-2500m!! yes thats right, the last horse was sunline so, to me she has the score on the board.

as for times seth, im not a big fan of them what so ever. race patterns, track conditions, all play a massive role in what time horses will run as dirty said.

the only time mf has taken on open class gallopers was in the cox plate, some say she was unlucky but too me she ran well considering the circumstances. and the only other time was when she was 1st up, and too me she looked under done and seemed dour as well after winning the oaks over 2500m in her previous start in the spring.
