I'm of the view West Coast are just getting some payback for Sumich. They're not realy interested in Clark. And if in the unlikely event they get him that will just mean Freo don't rate him much at all and i tend to agree. May or may not make it as a forward, and don't need him as a ruck.

Well considering we have an offer on the table (and it is currently the best offer) I am not sure how you can draw that conclusion.

If it's the best offer on the table then sign the damn papers and put us all out of our misery, please!

That's up to Freo. They could easily withdraw their interest and move on.

Yet for some reason they keep negotiating. Can't blame Brisbane for trying to get a better deal.

Freo need to decide if they want him or not. Beat WC's offer or stop wasting everyone's time.

What do you care if we 'unbalance our list'?

We have put our offer on the table and we are not going to withdraw it. Either top it or STFU.

I don't care if you unbalance your list, I was just making an observation. You know personal opinion. Which means stuff all in the scheme of things, because like you I don't make the decisions. Your offer may be accepted by Brisbane, but there are still question marks over whether WC can afford him. so you will unbalance your list and build in years of salary cap pressure. all for a player who will not make your team a great deal better than you already have.

Unbalancing your list by having too many talls is like unbalancing your bank account by having too much money in it. Neither event is actually humanely possible

I am not sure if Freo are negotiating. I think Bond might be working on something else.

Foolish us I guess better withdraw our offer then.

you can only play so many at the same time. That's why it is a good idea to have the ages spread properly. The timing for Lycett will be perfect.

In thats case, why are u persisting with freo???? bondy told you wat we'd give you....nothing more. your behaving like your sending us a superstar......i for one am over this trade. hope he goes to the PSD. that will make me laugh so hard.... then you guys can pick him up again and he'll go off the rails or west coast will nab him and he can play for east freo every week hhahahahaha

Clark hasn't been called a superstar. But he is very much required at Brisbane and is a very good fit for Fremantle and therefore is worth better than Fremantle's compensation pick.

When Cox is ready to retire Lycett will be ready to go.

West Coast fans? Would I be correct in saying that Clark would not be seen as a replacement for Cox, but rather for Lynch?

I wouldn't presume to tell your club whether to put in an offer or not. Just not sure why you are telling us to better ours. Maybe that is all we are going to offer. Besides, if Brisbane don't accept your offer before hand we have until Monday to get it sorted or not.

How do you know we're even still negotiating?

Also, if you got one offer from someone and then a better offer from someone else? Either WCE's offer still isn't enough to satisfy Brisbane or the both of you are in cahoots.

What, you mean like collingwood? A salary cap is like a finely mixed cocktail and the salary cap is the glass, all the amounts need to be balanced or you end up with a bad mix, more of some and less of the other. You can't just add more of the good stuff because the glass (salary cap) is full.

Collingwood are having serious problems trying to retain their players and it'd be remiss of you to think you'd be immune from the same happening to your team by just paying too much for everyone, no matter how successful a season you might be on the back of (once again, see Collingwood).

So they don't play Lynch and play Clark instead. Lynch has had a terrific year. So what have WC gained? They won't see any benefit from this for 3 years if at all.

who cares how required he is at brisbane!!!! he wants out, is uncontracted and will come at unders...end of story.....i dont care who gets him now, as long as brisbane lose him for minimal....they should have worked with us will they could have.......

We're all gonna laugh at you brisbane hahahahaha

Eagles have the least salary cap problems in the league. Its very well known we offered 1 mill for Daniel Wells last year and have much more space where that came from ontop. Eagles will get a mature aged recruit in sometime over the next few seasons. If not Clark maybe wait till free agency kicks in

and guess who is going to have the money to get them when they are offered up. I truly hope he loves it at WC.

Awesome then, close the thread and no posts from Freo people on a Clark trade.

Then I will offer my sincerest congratulations to you and your club and sign off. I'm glad he got home, but it is obvious Freo found something better they wanted to pursue. best wishes :)

How do we lose exactly? only reason you would deal with West Coast is if we don't rate him. Hows that losing?

Your coach recruited stars like Dawson, Fay, Dempster, Polo, Gamble etc etc so i highly doubt you don't rate him considering your needs for talls.

WC are just a better club to deal with.

lol'd hard irl.

Freo are in desperate need of young quality talls. Your KPP's are probably the oldest in the league yet you don't need a young one? Freo are unable to deal with other clubs because they don't know how, thus why you've been burnt in so many trades in the past.

Stay losing, bro.

There is such a thing as a draft. We have at least 3 top 20 picks in the next 2 drafts and we will probably bring Moller over next year if we do not trade him this year. We have 2 or so more years of Pav and maybe Mcpharlin, which is enough time for the next boys to come through. this was always a possibility when Lyon asked Griffen to stay. We have clearly decided to take a different track to where we want to get to.

Ross is not involved in our trading. We have 3 ruckmen to choose from and a big ? if he can make it as a key forward. Surely the bolded is a joke?

If having Jack Anthony on 350k a year is winning then surely losing would require drafting some form of obese midget with violent tendencies towards people with big noses.

I was reffering to this trade.

Keplar has been better than Clark and we got him for a plate of crackers. I hope WCE give Brisbane plenty more than we are willing. That would be a win win for Freo. WCE waste their picks and Crazy Vossy gets Fev back.:p
I reckon he'll be at Freo all the same, Bondy will call their bluff.:thumbsu:
