When are brisbane supporters going to realise that mitch clark is over rated.....yes he has huge potential but so did richard tambling......he hasnt done anything. he played a few good games in 2010 to suggest that he has ability but since then he hasnt fired a shot.......we will take him if he comes at a good price but to suggest that we part with pick 16 for him is beyond me.....im leaning more towards parting with our second rounder or third rounder and chopper mayne rather than our 16 or the priority pick as the palmer compo will be gold next year in the super draft......

umm..why are freo going to pay him 600k a year then?

I wouldn't have thought he'd be on that kind of coin. He's on a fair bit less than that at the Lions now I'd guess.

At that price I wouldn't want him, but I'm not running the footy club.

He is on decent money, and make no mistake, he is after a nice big contract. Why do you think his manager said earlier in the week that he didn't think WC had a chance at getting him because they didn't have the money to sign him. Reports earlier in the year was that he was after around the 600k a year mark.

What would people think of 16+ one of Duffield/Mayne/Suban/Walters?

If Freo want Clark they need to pick up their act and actually put forward a serious offer before we trade with WC.

Tell Bondy. He doesn't listen to us.

Bond is obviously involved in something else at the moment and he is the last second man. If you have a good deal from WC then just take it, I'm not sure what you are waiting for.

I agree

Zac Clarke + Pick 16 at the bare minimum

Have you even offered pick 16 or Clarke yet? If you offered that the deal would already be done.

Oh and that offer from WC is?

23 + Swift (Masten also a possibility). The pick from Ebert as well probably.

So 23 + 28/33 + player I suspect.

nup, Brisbane think they have us over a barrel here. Not really. They refuse all offers as unreasonable, and he walks through the PSD. Like the Saints trying to play hardball with Luke Ball. Didn't work out well. You can pick him back up before most teams in the draft if you want to waste the pick (higher than ours), but then you have a pick less, and a disgruntled player you know doesn't want to be there. By all means use WCE to try and drive his price up, but to suggest ZC (who Freo rate very highly) and pick 16 when you are in an inferior bargaining position is ludicrous. That trade might happen if they throw in Daniel Rich as well (if you are going to propose silly trades as the minimum, so will I)

From what I can tell we are offering our compensation pick for Palmer (31 I think, which is before round 2). It is the highest pick they are likely to get, I can't see WCE offering a first round pick for another tall forward/ruck option. We may sweeten it with a player, but don't expect a star, maybe Michael Johnson or Garrick Ibbotson.

Pick 23 and a player believed to be one of Masten/Brown/Lycett

can u please explain to me how mitch clark is worth pick 16 on its own let alone with a player???? i seriously dont understand!!! he was drafted at 9 and has done nothing! why do u feel as if 16+ players is fair?

You mean apart from leading the goal kicking (even in a bad year) and being all Australian?

He was kidding about Clarke and 16 for Mitch Clark. I would consider the compo if it came with someone like mayne. If WC offered up Masten/Lycett and 23 I would take it over the compo. WC would offer up pick 23 as it would be a steal.

I truly hope you do that.

Yeah right. I suppose you guys are going to ship out Lycett as well. Our Clarke is going to be better than their Clark and they want a first rounder as well.

So what's wrong with that. You freo guys were bloody demanding band 1 or 2 for Palmer who has done nothing since his first year.

When are brisbane supporters going to realise that mitch clark is over rated.....

When Fremantle supporters realise that going forward, Mitch is the best viable option for their club as a key position forward with the ability to shoulder ruck duties and is also valued very highly to Brisbane for the same reason. While Brisbane will be unable to get what he is worth because of the compromised draft and the fact that he isn't contracted and wants to go to WA, they will want something close to fair. That is, at a bare minimum pick 16 and more so pick 16 and a player. Brisbane's management don't seem to fussed on the possibility that a deal will not be done with Fremantle. West Coast are waiting in the wings reportedly ready to offer their first rounder and a player also.
