Being worth a top 10 pick doesn't mean that is what Brisbane will get. Freo and WC can't pull a top 10 out of there arses. This is how all the major trades are done; never easy and a lot of back and forth. Secondly most Freo supporters wouldn't be that fussed if a trade was not done.

Clark's manager Colin Young said he was growing increasingly concerned a deal with Fremantle - Clark's preferred target - was not going to happen this week with the Brisbane Lions wanting more than the club could offer.

He also said Clark could opt to enter the NAB AFL Pre-season Draft in December if a trade didn't come up before Monday's deadline, with the Lions believing Fremantle's first-round selection of No.16 in the NAB AFL Draft is not enough to get the deal done.

we know you are not idiots, but we don't need him as badly as you do, so we probably won't be willing to part with what you want.

I'd say at the moment we'd be offering our Palmer compo pick and maybe a player or a later pick upgrade, Brisbane most likely want our pick 16 (or earlier) plus player or later round pick upgrade, which I would think is unlikely, as Freo needs a KPP from this draft to look at replacing Macpharlin/Grover.

We don't need another ruckman, our ruck stocks are overflowing for the near future. If we are chasing a forward for our first pick, I'd much rather see Kurt Tippet in purple in 2012. I'm not saying Clark is not worth our first round pick, just that he's not worth it to us. He is a brilliant player, and I'd be thrilled to see him out there in purple, but Freo really don't need another ruckman who can kick a few, we have Griffin and Bradley already. Although we look to be trading Griffin to Port.

When are brisbane supporters going to realise that mitch clark is over rated.....yes he has huge potential but so did richard tambling......he hasnt done anything. he played a few good games in 2010 to suggest that he has ability but since then he hasnt fired a shot.......we will take him if he comes at a good price but to suggest that we part with pick 16 for him is beyond me.....im leaning more towards parting with our second rounder or third rounder and chopper mayne rather than our 16 or the priority pick as the palmer compo will be gold next year in the super draft......

i was a fan of mayne before this year... just seems to have lost confidence in himself....i know that can easily be turned around but mitch clark is definately an upgrade from chopper so if he gets the deal done all the while, we keep our first pick and palmer compo then im up for it
