Really liked what i saw from Hart and Eade as well

Re: Mitch Hahn to become a "GWS" playing coach

Good move, we need all the help we can get at VFL level to be competitive, both on and off the field.

Didn't Licca also do a similar role in his first year after retirement?

"What did you wear...?"

Re: Mitch Hahn to become a "GWS" playing coach

Adrian Fletcher player in the magoos as well for a few years while on staff.

I think it's a great move if a development coach can do this.
Add a few more mature bodies into the twos and I think we can not only give our players confidence and experience, but also a "winning habit" which I think is important for the development as well.

Did Fletcher play for Williamstown?

Did Fletcher play for Williamstown?

Did indeed. I think he was there 3 years.

I honestly reckon not having either Fletcher or Misiti on our main list in 2002 cost us in the GF. Those two would have lapped up the wet weather

Not that I'm bitter...

mcgough to replace the clearly unfit molloy would've done just as well

Licca did play VFL in our 1st VFL Season as Collingwood

or a fit tall in richardson who also could have been used in the ruck.

Ah hindsight

Can we get Gavin Brown back?
Maybe well passed it but he looks like he could still get a kick and it is killing me seeing in Carlton colours.

I just close my eyes any time Rowdy is mentioned. Can't bare to look. We love you champ, come home soon. :(

I was pretty impressed with that little interview with Mitch. Made all the right noises and if he follows it up the sort of enthusiasm he's projecting he'll be an asset. I wonder if player/coaching gives our staff a different insight into what players are doing on the field. Anyone who has played the game at any competitive level knows it's a different world out there on the ground. I think it's a subject worth really getting into in an interview with the likes of Hahn, Licca and co. Certainly more so than "what did you wear?" or "where did you have lunch today?".

Even happier that Ben Hart is at the club. Always rated him as a player (AA at 18 in your first year says plenty about your mindset and professionalism) and seemed to be one who would make a good coach. Has the right demeanour and doesn't look like a bloke who would take any crap. :thumbsu:

early days but apart from the loss of Watters I'm excited about the off field team

Rocket strikes me as a balanced funny guy who can offset Bucks intensity. Kind of like Balmey but with modern day footy smarts

Good move by you guys; I was at a few VFL games this year and he was a very vocal leader for the Seagulls. You'd always hear him giving instructions to the younger players so he should be a valuable player with the team.
