Well we couldnt bowl RSA out twice now in 2 test matches. Change is good.

Johnson is equally capable of not bowling out teams on the final day, he's proved it often enough. I just don't want to see him in test match whites again.

As much as their are better bowling options ahead of MJ this test - Hazelwood and Hastings are not it

Hastings probably is, but perhaps not Hazelwood. I don't know what the selectors were smoking this week but I am sure they found Hilditch's old stash around the office somewhere.

No he isn't

He is fine at ODI level, but that is a far cry from Test level where you actually need to be able to beat the bat, as opposed to waiting on them making an error as they try and push the score along

Statistics are all well and good - but they don't tell the whole picture.

I do agree though - I probably wouldn't have MJ in the side at all - particulary with Watson back.

Hastings on current form probably is, but not sure how Hazelwood got a call up ahead of Bird & Putland
