I remember him well. What a physical specimen he was, just couldn't translate it into seniors.

I'm old enough to have idolised Rene Kink and I genuinely thought he and Lou Ferrigno were the same man.

We never gave him a senior game, not even a "night series" game. I'm still baffled as to why (and that's based purely on seeing a brief highlights package, I didn't get to see Collingwood seconds games back in those days)! He was huge, and he could move, so why didn't they give a bloke who hung around long enough to play 40 Reserves games a go?!

Not totally sure what you mean, but Podsiadly was picked up by Geelong in the Rookie Draft many years ago, and obviously went on to be a successful player for them.

What probably most people don't remember is that he was also a Collingwood Rookie List player a long time before that (also on Essendon's Rookie List)!

Not totally sure what you mean, but Podsiadly was picked up by Geelong in the Rookie Draft many years ago, and obviously went on to be a successful player for them.

What probably most people don't remember is that he was also a Collingwood Rookie List player a long time before that (also on Essendon's Rookie List)!

I recall at the Royal Melbourne Hospital some years ago podiatry was colocated with dentistry which I always found amusing.

Agree Jen. Very rarely does a MSD pick play in the seniors straight away.
