Apparently its Polish/Ukrainian in origin and would be like Underwood or Underhill.

I recall at the Royal Melbourne Hospital some years ago podiatry was colocated with dentistry which I always found amusing.

Probably not going to be as good for us as Checkers but not unrealistic he plays the Checkers role, he looks suited. Just not sure he’s got the ‘bash the bodies’ game that Checkers had but from the highlight packages he certainly moves around like the great man.
Pathway similar as well.

Kicks goals for fun was a nice quote I heard on the panel when he was announced.

Most people kick them to feel miserable so at least he’s having fun. A lot of fun too going from the amount he’s been slotting.

To be fair, there aren't many in the comp that can play like Checkers.

If Pods can come in and average 5-6 goals a game, we'll call it even.

Not totally sure what you mean, but Podsiadly was picked up by Geelong in the Rookie Draft many years ago, and obviously went on to be a successful player for them.

What probably most people don't remember is that he was also a Collingwood Rookie List player a long time before that (also on Essendon's Rookie List)!

I do remember and was pissed off at the time.

Why would we turn Buller into a defender when we just drafted one and have moved Howes back there? Buller is crushing it at VFL level as a forward
