He's only got 6 months, 12 games, to prove his worth. Really hope he can be an instant contributor. We need to replace Elliot, Membrey, maybe Hill, and probably McStay in a year or so, so there's spots galore in our forward line.

Is it confirmed he only took a 6 month contract? And is anyone aware on the other Mid season picks?

Saying he could be our best key forward is a bit of a slight against Mcstay,who is having a very good season so far.But if it turns out to be true,that would be great for us.

We're halfway through the season and McStay has 19 goals... We'd be f'ing ecstatic if Mitch Podhajski matched that in the back half of the season.

He's shown improvent across his half a dozen or so games.

Will he become a top liner as a forward. Unlikely. However, i'd be staggered if there are plans to turn him into a defender.

Like, he did a "here's who I would have picked" Mid-Season Draft and just said that every team should have drafted Jackson Callow.

Even if that's your firm belief, don't put out that video - It's boring.

Good on him for spending so much time scouting juniors and reaching his own conclusions, but at a certain point when you back your own opinion in at all costs in contrast to every single AFL recruiting department... It's questionable, and it makes it clear that you're failing to see some flaws that they're seeing.

Mitch could’ve easily kicked 5 today

Whilst Membrey is a long time class act with superior marking… as we saw today, Pods will do more way more at ground level in comparison

Played deep forward today… but Pods is really a 3rd forward at AFL level when he sooner or later gets the chance.

Wow, good on him. His heart rate must of increased a beat when he heard this. Just imagine, a few weeks ago he doesn’t even know if he will get drafted. Now he has the chance to secure a spot in the greatest team in the world!! Feel so good for him.
