MLB 09 - "The Show" was widely regarded as the most realistic and closest a game has come to capturing an American sport.

MLB 10 is to be released in the States on March 2nd, although we aren't going to get it here till April.

With the distinct lack of great sporting titles available at the moment on PS3 (MLB 10 is exclusive to Sony's PS3 and PSP) I am definitely going to get this game.

Have you played MLB 09? Is it any fun? Realistic and close to the actual sport of Baseball for mine doesn't fill me with hope as I personally view Baseball as quite easily one of the most boring sports in the world.

Haven't had a go of a Baseball game for years and has always just been something that got boring after a little while.

Absolutely stunning looking game though.

Good news if it is to come down here as 09 wasn't released most likely due to a limited market.

09 was a great game, starting in the lower leagues and working your way up to the big league was fun, you did need to put a fair bit of play time in to it to get the most out of it though, at the time i had it i had few other games and it didn't give it the time it deserved.
My mate playes b/ball and i like the sport so we had some good games v/s each other.
I would like to say i'm going to get 10 but there is no chance this will get much gameplay with the games that are due for release over the next 6 months
Is it being released here?
If so i'll try to talk the video guy into getting it so i can hire.

I had a short stop playing for the red sox, starting in AA, it took him three year of pretty solid numbers to progress to the big league.

My 1B for in the Braves organisation who in his 23rd pro game was pulling on a Braves shirt and playing in the majors, didn't have great numbers either haha.

After watching footage of this game the visuals are just phenomenal, but its true, baseball can be a boring game and it will be interesting to see how the game mechanics (pitching,batting) work.
Unfortunately these games are mostly imported so trying b4 u buy is difficult, hopefully a demo will be released for australian gamers, the last time i played a basebull game it was on the megadrive called 'Frank Thomas The Big Hurt', yeah, that long ago.

Gameplanet has it's first order arrival date at march 31st, although they are probably imports also.

I'd recommend you get The Bigs 2 that is a real arcadey game and lot's of fun but it is terrible online unless your playing someone locally.
