Rumor on the radio today that mooney will miss 2 weeks with a back injury

guys, hate to admit it but I think we are absolutely stuffed. to add to this, heard on the radio before that kingy had surgery this morning and is apparently out for the season.

so... I guess blake has to come in this week. not only will he have to play this week but also may have to see out the season. just as well he has been in good vfl form.

but the reality is guys... we are stuffed.

I love your thoughts there mate, but you dont wanna blood the boy too early so in his first game he does not get a kick. That could end his career.

But, you're right, it is getting close to that time!!!

I can just imagine it!

YEEEEEABBBBLETT gathers on the wing, evades Dal Santo, runs around hayes and spears it on the chest of YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEABLETT!

Going to see alot of our younger talls in the spotlight this Friday. I'd expect Blake and one of Lonergan or Spencer to be given the run in light of the King and Mooney injuries.

Knowing the club though, they'll bring back Tom Harley.

*sigh*

I'd last heard 1-2 weeks away, but even so, it's not worth playing another guy coming off an injury and lacking any sort of match fitness, especially when that guy is Tom Harley.

Hopefully the club has learned.

Scarlett - Gtrain
Milburn/ Rooke - Reiwoldt
Egan - hamill
Whoever - kosi

our backline is in big trouble thats for sure, really looks stretched, can't see us even getting close this week to be honest, just to much firepwer up forward they have

Well, if they're our matchups we're stuffed.
In fact, I just think we're stuffed for this match.
If we lose to the saints we can still finish top4 but need other teams to lose to make it happen.
Looks like we're going to finish 5th or 6th and have a hell of a fight on our hands.
I still think that even if (when :( ) we do lose to the saints, winning the last few games (esp beating WC) would give us some much needed confidence, and remember that the loser of 1vs4 plays the winner of 5vs8, and considering 4th plays WC first up, 4th & 5th have pretty much the same run through the finals (just the double chance though...hmmm)

It's not over yet Cats, not at all....just slipping away.

And this is the backline that could not contain Lucas last round.
Minus Mooney.

Playfair will have to go back, with Lonergan or Spencer into the side. It pains me to think about it.

Do they still let you pick a player from the opposition when you can't field a full side?
Actually, this raises an interesting question.
If we could have any player, just one, from any team, who would you choose? Think about who would improve the team the most, not neccecarily the best player in the AFL.
(I think this deserves a new thread, but i can't be arsed)

That should be the idea, probably will match up on Kosi, leaving Rooke for Hamill and Egan for Riewoldt.

Lonergan wouldn't be the worst inclusion, although David Haynes will probably get a go first.
