i wonder which he prefers more, liar or ignorant poster?

I really don't care. He can take both and shove it.

I am seriously over his constant lying about our club from the comfort of a Chang Mai crack house.

Today alone he has said this shit about Ruffles.

Lies about Taberner.

Lies about Morabito in the WAFL

I am all for opinions, but lies are a totally different thing.

There's nothing wrong with holding them back to be sure, but Mora's been on the training track for near on 18 months since he had his LARS surgery. He's been dominating WAFL for the entire season. Surely by now he's ready.

RTB on 7 news has stated already the he is very close to playing AFL but he needs to get his fitness to the required standard .
ABC sports jurno's stated the Mora must have had some poor advice from his manager or he must have been miss quoted .
All the jurno's said the same thing " Mora you have only played 11 games of WAFL , put in a couple more goods games and he will play AFL they are convinced that once he gets a game he would not be out the team.
They said it was time for him to repay Fremantle for all the support they have given him.

Maybe a couple of games he's been one of the best players. Dominating is a big stretch. I'll happily wait for Ross to make the call.

As much as most of us would love to see him back out on the field, there's no point in putting him into an AFL game if he's not hitting KPI's, just like RTB stated. Why would you take someone who is hitting those, and has AFL experience out of the side, to put someone who may or may not be able to run out the game, or have the physicality to take on the opposition? Don't forget that when he did do his knee the first time, he was still a young player, who's barely played any games. Even without the reco's putting him into a game is going to be throwing him into the deep end of AFL especially with the expectations everyone has of him being the saviour or whatever. I feel bad for the poor kid not being able to just sneak into a game under the radar.

Another example of how the ladies on this board embarrass a lot of the guys.

Does that make me a sexist?

I reckon Ross should pull a Ross, and some home game, when Mora's an emergency, sneak him into the side at the last minute. No bells & whistles. Just prepare like normal and play a game.

I too have envisioned Ross doing it that way.

Does anyone honestly think that Clancy Pearce playing a quarter as a sub this week (as he is likely to do) rather than Morabito is going to be difference between winning or losing against Brisbane?

Pearce has been out of form, injured, played one decent quarter in the WAFL and yet is brought straight back. What sort of message does that send to Morabito who has played every week for some time now?

There is all this talk about how players have to put pressure on from below to win their spot back yet Pearce's inclusion makes a mockery of that. Fair enough, he's been a long term part of Ross's best 22 so he doesn't have to jump through the same hoops as Morabito does but its not an even playing field so why talk about it as if it is? The likes of Fyfe, Hill, Mundy etc wouldn't be expected to play WAFL and rightly so. They are proven quality.
Thing is Morabito was a pick 4, played a very impressive debut season including playing beautifully in a final and was seen as a budding star of the comp.
He could feel quite justified in believing he belongs at AFL level and has been waiting 3 years to get back there.

Sure I get it, KPI's, fitness, he's building, I don't know what goes on behind closed doors. Certainly the prevailing orthodoxy on this board is "in Ross we trust" and that we have no room for sentimentality. And these are the sort of decisions that have turned us into a professional football club and most of the time I'm completely happy with that. But just for once I wish they had said, let him play. Ross himself said the players can't wait to have him back in the team. Is there really no room at all for emotion in our team these days?

Really I'm saying all this to blow off some steam after a stressful week and from the position as an outsider who in general backs the club in, not mindlessly but because they have the runs on the board. I just hope this article (which was on the back page of paper edition of The Worst) doesn't set his case back even further by putting him in the dog house with the coaching staff. Ross gives the impression of being stubborn and not liking of being backed into a corner at times.

Pokers & Bushie..

For a troll he sure does a lot of crying to the mods.
So he got bored of plebs and trolls the mods as well. Stiff for them if they fall for it.

Do you feel better now?

Understand the sentiment, don't agree in reality.

Exactly, it's almost a carbon copy of the Walters is going to leave rubbish we were getting in 2012. The bottom line is he will play when he forces his way in. Peel had an absolute stinker by all reports last week and Sheridan didn't set the world on fire. If the match committee chose Pearce to come in then so be it.

After we gift Morabito a game do we just reserve a spot in the 22 for the next romantic story? We have had more than just Morabito on the LTI list.

Oh please.
If he is ready RTB will play Mora. He hates to loss remember?
So what's the west going to say when we bring him in underdone and he failed to meet the massive expectation?

"Disappointing"
"No longer the same player"
"Can never recover from 3 recons..."

Freo is setting him up for success by bringing him back when he is ready. This way, as stated by others, he'll be unlikely loss his spot once he earned it.

So it's going to take a couple more weeks. I'll wait.

Part of my point was that Pearce hardly forced his way in. He's played one good quarter in the WAFL and has been pretty ordinary in his AFL outings thus far. Its all very well to roll out the party line but it clearly doesn't apply to everyone so why pretend it does?

How can you say that he hardly forced his way in when the rest of the peel squad stunk it up in the same weekend?

Also Pearce has played more than just a single good quarter this year and even though he did drop off in the game you are speaking about he still finished the game with 27 touches.

You can't have your cake and eat it too. The reason that we win against bottom of the ladder teams is because we don't gift games.

IMO, Morabito still does not play like a player that isn't worried about his knee.

It's going to be wet, which is hardly the caper for Mora in his "debut".

Clancee is proven, and despite the perception of RTB playing "favourites", it is a wise selection. He will hurt a lot of these Brisbane kids with his attack on the ball and big body, plus his disposal is tremendous.

Mora is a "burst" player and not what we need in this game.

It'll happen, soon.

I know, common sense and true all of it.

I'm replying to your other post as I agree with you. I've been trying to work this out myself. Ross obviously plays the percentages and has very high standards, once you've proved yourself and shown that you're capable you're in. This is obviously where the 'Ross don't play yoof' comes from, it's definitely evident to a degree.
A positive and a negative from this method is Simpson and how he was pushed out by a 'fit' Mayne, but also Lachie, who is now a solid part of our team having proved himself at the top level. If Mora gets a game he'll have really earnt it and you can bet he will not let the opportunity slip. Go Mora, Go Freo.
