most exciting series

i recon this chapple hadlee trophy was the best series i have seen.... even though aussie lost it would have to be the most exciting series as yet....

The last two games were high scoring, but what did you expect on such small grounds?

The Chappell-Hadlee series of 04/05 was pretty exciting - two great games, unfortunately the 3rd was washed out...

The SA series against us early last year was better, 5 matches, 3 very closely contested, 2/2 going into the last match which featured a world record set and chase all against a backdrop of choking and counter-choking allegations.

Nothing but it was part of a great mix. We were 2 down and fought back to even the series. What was so great about us being rolled for 148 and them mowing it down without losing a wicket?

Yeah that was a great series, we came back to level the series from 2-0 down, which set the scene for one of the greatest ODIs ever.

I enjoyed the huge scores and close finishes, disappointed about result but there are positives.

The good
Batting form in Games 2 and 3
Hussey century, Hodge 97 White hitting, Haddin showing composure and poise.

The Bad
We can't bowl any more! Bracken just loses it sometimes, Tait is very up and down (more down) McGrath WELL past his best (unfortunately...it's like after you give notice at your job....your heart is not quite in it)
Johnson was terrible and Watson showed he's either lacking match practice or ability (I'm not starting another Watson bagging session)
Hogg has become predictable (but still our best spin option)
White........doesn't count as a bowler.

The ugly
Loss of confidence and the aura of invinsibility that we've had for years.

Thoughts????

Rubbish series apart from the game I made a hundred. We were really missing some big name players, Punter especially is a big loss. But we really should have been able to defend our last two totals, easily over 300, no excuse for that, it's just poor cricket.
