Geelong forward James Podsiadly has copped a two match ban for his head high bump on Bryce Gibbs in their match against Carlton on Friday night.

Podisadly was charged with a level two bumping or making forceful contact from front-on offence and must accept the penalty even with an early guilty plea because of carry over points.

The incident was evaluated to be negligent conduct (one point), medium impact (two points) and high contact (two points) accumulating 250 demerit points and a two match sanction.

Hunt and Leigh Brown have also been given one match bans whilst Paul Bevan got a reprimand.

Did Waters get reported for that bump or not?

No. It was looked at though.

Waters did not leave the ground in his bumping action and it was the view of the panel the North Melbourne player should have expected contact in this situation. It was therefore ruled that Waters’ actions did not constitute a reportable offence.

Paul Bevan's charge - which was for an absolute ripper tackle on Griffen - is assessed as "low impact" and "body contact". I'm sorry? You can be charged with low impact body contact in AFL now?

Seriously, this is getting out of control.

Did he cop anything for that? His hit was pretty similar to Leroy's

He copped a reprimand due to low impact, which is a joke when you compare it to Pods. Far more force involved, and he went through with the roundarm, whereas Pods actually made a reasonable attempt to pull up.

Lack of consistency from the MRP as usual.

How does Hunt get a week, that is almost as bad as Mumford's suspension.

very odd that one, Hunt has basically let Waite go before Waite hits the ground, if he really wanted to hurt him he could have.

Good to see the Swans are fighting this for the good of the code - not to mention Bevo's reputation - how do you hold your head high when you've been done for "low impact body impact"?
