Brownlow Medallist
Just heard an interview with KB and Murph on SEN.
He said his shoulder is fine, he has been doing full training and full contact for months now with no problems at all.
He is 3-4 Kg's heavier than this time last year, and feeling more confident throwing himself into packs.
He said that Gibbs has settled in really well and hasn't needed much help adjusting. They have a regular pocker night with Austin and some of the other boys at Murphs house.
Gibbs has been staying with Austin at ?? someones house (missed the name), and both are training well.
On the practice match when asked about standouts:
Hampson - took some good grabs
Jacobs - was quite good in the ruck
Ackland, Gibbs, and Fev all stood out as well.
When asked about Cam Cloke, said that he seems to be doing O.K. with his shoulder, and has it strapped for precautions.
On the talk surrounding the capataincy, Murph reeled out one of the finest cliche's in footy - he's just looking to hold his spot in the team week by week and is looking towards some success. He would be honoured if he was asked to be in the leadership group down the track, but isn't really thinking about it.
GO BLUES!!!
