My first two draft rounds

Lingsface and Sinepari,
This is not a criticism of your judgement but a genuine question why do you rate Connors so high. As you can see from my list I cant fit him in my two rounds and I am really interested in your views.
Lingsface I am pretty shocked you cant fit Everitt in your list and have you seen additional footage of the QLD boys beside nat champs and tac cup games because you have rated them real high?

I think Connors has pace, skill, composure and also carries the ball, he wins his own ball but still has the ability to receive and use his great foot skills to full effect. Looked alot like Mundy at the same age except a bit smaller and more agressive, was the most impressive half back/midfielder at the championships i thought.

Everitt doesnt seem to produce much at this stage but does have the ingredients to be a successful player at afl level his height mixed with his agility is very handy, but just isnt producing enough atm...room for improvement is large though.

HAve only seen last years championships and a few 16s championships games of the queensland boys, also have people I know that have played against and trained with them, blokes like armitage and proud caught my eye from the australian vs ireland game as well because of there penetration on there kicks and theway they dont stop to meet the ball but are very agressive and hit it at full pace.

Carlton to go for Gumbleton at no.1 despite the drafting of Kennedy last year, grab Collard with glee via their priority pick, and resist drafting a so-so ruckman with their 2nd round selection, preferring to shore up the midfield.

Selwood to join one of his bro's at Brisbane, allowing them to gamble on Tippett in the 2nd round - a further possible selection for Aker could see them grab Urqhart or Pettard also ...

Will Port take Sellar if he's available ? Their big-man dept. is already nearly full

Sydney to grab Jetta as a prospective replacement for Williams.

Bulldogs and Pies to 'go tall'..

Bombers grab two versatile talls to compliment the addition of midfielder Gibbs

Geelong grab Adams in hope that he'll be the next Steven Baker.

You have Travis Boak twice, picks 25 and 28!! Hard isn't it? Like your list.

Here is my top 30 players in the draft (not where they will go though)
(thought I would analyis them 2 years on slightly embarassing)

1. B Gibbs- Would still take him or selwood I would think, will captain Carlton I think and has lived up to his hype.
2. S Gumbelton- Still got hope for him hopefully does not turn into a wasted talent because of injury.
3. J Selwood-Gun should probably be rated number 1.
4. L Hansen- I still dont know about Hansen will be good but probably should be around the number 10 mark.
5. M Leunberger-About right or maybe a little lower atm will end up being top 5 in this draft IMO.
6. M Thorp-Has dissapointed I dont know if his attitude is wrong or what is going on but probably would struggle to make top 30 atm.
7. L Jetta-Set to be a good player for a long time I think.
8. T Hislop- I dont know much about his progress but would be out of the top 30 Id say.
9. D Connors-Be about 25 atm I think but will end up being top 15 I love the way he plays still.
10. J Sellar-DISSAPOINTMENT I always had my doubts on him but was sucked in a little on his hype.
11. G Moss-Very good footballer dont know if is suited to the AFL though could see him winning a couple of sandovers if he comes back to perth.
12. J Reiwoldt-I was questionble on him when draft came around but he has impressed is a real footballer and has confidence in the air.
13. A Proud-Looks to have a good career ahead of him.
14. C Benjamin-Potential is still there and has a lot of it but injuries have cut him short he will be touch and go to keep his spot (was bias probably because a friend of mine)
15. R Petterd- I really like the way Petterd plays has he been injured or just not rated?
16. E Mackenzie- Will be very good Is just inside the 30 now I would say.
17. T Boak-Gun as seen is a really good footballer and is slightly underated would be top 12 atm.
18. S Grigg-Good year played a fair few games probably in the right position.
19. J Morton-Great year this year for his opportunities about right spot as well.
20. J Anderson Joe Anderson looks like he could fit in well as a tagger back man type. about 35 atm.
21. T Hurley-Dont even think he got drafted anyone know how hes going?
22. C Schmidt-Delisted was suprised thought he showed a bit was offered rookie spot I believe but didnt want it.
23. C Collard-Delisted?? Talent plus just loves this piss a bit too much I hear.
24. T Collier-Missed out that year but was drafted next year on I really rate him is tough and a very coachable player looks like he will be a good player.
25. J Allan-This the guy at St Kilda I cant remember If so probably a bit high but doesnt look bad.
26. B Obrien-Hasnt come on like I would of liked would be around 45 I think.
27. D Dzufer-Delisted I think didnt get picked up to rookie list I think.
28. B Renouf-One of two premiership players on here is about 20 in the rankings atm maybe.
29. B Reid-Looks good is about at the right spot I think.
30. K Tippet- Has been very good I was a bit so so about Tippet but has Impressed great hands and a very big guy would have him top 20 as well.

Just revisiting my picks from 2 years ago Its funny to see how many players have been delisted from even my top 30 geez there hard to pick. Just a reminder I suppose that they are only opinions and alot of the time you are probably wrong (in saying this alot of people would have alot more of an idea than me.)

amazing how highly Sellar was rated before the draft and now everyone has completely written him off
