Firstly my negatives...

I wasn't there :)
Kicking.

Positives.

Better played than last week, and really most of the team performed ok to good.

Ballantyne - what a great run to get that goal after setting up with the kick at the centre circle.

Really liked Sandi - some of the rest of the team could learn from him, he's what 180feet 3 inches tall? and still put his body on the line on the ground.

Mundy - Never really was a big fan of his, but the last season, and the start of this one has been a great revelation.

Kepler - Missed a couple, but for the amount of bagging this boy gets, I thought he had a solid game, got some good marks, and really put some good pressure on.

Hill - All class, depending on how long Pav goes, wouldn't surprise me if he becomes our next leader with his skills.

Fyfe - Love the guy, bulk the kid up and he will be dangerous.

Losing is never a good way to have a game, don't get me wrong, we should of won this game going on what was played - until we got inside the 50, but I felt we improved a lot over last week.

Poor Walters, stuffed if he did, stuffed if he didn't. Wouldn't he of looked stupid if he just stood there and it bounced back into field. Hope it doesn't knock his confidence, he's very much like Ballantyne - is a real emotive player.

Can we bring back Solly to wipe that ugly smile off Ling's face any time we play against the cats?

When I played ice hockey, we use to pound on one guy because anyone was allowed to beat him up and not get penalised. I think the AFL should allow the same rule in relation to Ling.

Yep. A lot of positives out of this game even if everyone is ignoring them.
Another one: No Injuries!! (I think?)

Kepler - Missed a couple, but for the amount of bagging this boy gets, I thought he had a solid game, got some good marks, and really put some good pressure on.

I don't think any Fremantle supporters have bagged Keps for at least a year. He gives his all every week and that's all any of us can ask for.

Kep plays with his heart every work and works his gutts off and rightly so, should get rewarded for it

His skills are great as well - the way he lumbers about, yet still pulls of some spectacular stuff is what makes him special

Sandy was pretty solid - got paid about 10% of the frees he deserves though as he gets mauled week in, week out

Mayne should have kicked straighter but I hope it doesn't dampen his confidence too much

At the end of the day, we out-played a potential top 4 team (and two time premiers over the last 4 years) and should have won, after traveling from Brisbane, with a day less recovery than our opposition and the only reason we lost was due to some terrible kicking in the final term

Geelong are still an incredibly strong and experienced unit even without Selwood or Ablett and they proved that today

It took a couple hours before the depression of losing went away and I finally got a bit of perspective and saw the bigger picture

Maybe this point should be under another post...Don't think we outplayed Geelong, but I do think we kicked ourselves out of the game.

Positives..

Hilly, Pav, deBoer, Sandy and hopefully no injuries or reports

Firstly my negatives...

Fyfe - Love the guy, bulk the kid up and he will be dangerous.

Fyfe was ordinary at best. Fluffed a lot of handballs/kicks which went straight to the opposition (turnovers). Definitely not as bad as Crowley - horrible footballer.

Suban deserves praise. He was very good. Didn't get as much of the pill as others but his ball use was superb as shown by his high efficiency rating/supercoach score for the night. Also laid a lot of tackles and showed good aggression.

I agree IALS.

We lost this game Geelong didn't win it. This does worry me because it feels like Freo of old. But I'm not going to hit the panic button yet.

I would hate for Pav to be kicking our winning goal in a GF......:o

DeBoer made a difference - if only a few others could play with his commitment.

Sandi did a better job of dealing with the mauling from opponents than he did last week. Hopefully after a few more wees of it he will swat them away with ease again.

Grover was great again. He has more pace than I remember, and is also good in the contest still.

Ballas was great in our forward line and started to have an impact in bursts in the midfield too. Another couple of weeks of gametime to make up for the preseason and he'll be even better.

Keps was super. Just kept on trucking, and I think really backs himself into every marking contest now - such an attitude change from the self-doubts he had when we picked him up.

Palmer played decent footy when he came on.

Broughton had another strong game even under waves of pressure, and without any support from Duffman or MJ.

No major injuries (though the knocks to both Keps and Sandi have me worried).

Freo fans being upset because we let a close one slip, instead of raving on about how great a loss it was because we stayed close. We believe we can (and should) win against top 4 sides, and won't accept excuses when our team doesn't.
