NAB Cup - Round 1 Adel v Melb v Port

Not sure how much interest there is in the NAB cup amongst the group here but thought a thread for anything related would have popped up sooner or later.

First bit of news is the injury to Lobbe (dislocation - out up to 2 months) and no Brogan either. Whoever we use in ruck they'll be up against Redden (yet to debut) and Bass (rookie) from Port.

Not holding my breath for the NAB Cup. AAMI is a bloody dark hole for us.

Just want to come out injury free and get some actual AFL time into the young blokes. Can't see us beating the Crows, maybe Port.

Want to see Tapscott, Howe, Blease and Gysberts all get a run.

I'd give Gawn first crack with Martin playing deep. Name Spencer as an emergency and if Gawn is struggling sub him out.

Also might be an idea to give Campbell a run (if fit) , just to get him some match fitness.

Would be good to see Campbell, but that's for the NAB Challenge! How good would it be to have the big boys Gawn and Fitz having a hit at AAMI.

Pumped for this Friday. I know it's not 4 premiership points in Adelaide, but winning at Footy Park would be the best birthday present.

Agree, with the Port ruck situation so dire, it'll be a great chance to give our back-up rucks a crack. I'd play all three if fit. Martin can fill holes down back or up forward too if needed.

I know it's only NAB Cup, but I can't wait for Friday night!

Would help create a bit of interest and momentum amongst the footy-viewing public - wouldnt hurt memberships either.

silly statement!!! im sure every supporter "wouldnt mind" their team winning the NAB cup!!

i for one wouldnt mind if melbourne won their intra-club match, i know that the squad is just split into two teams and they play eachother in a shortened match and at the end of the match they are all melbourne players.. but i still wouldnt mind if we won it! tbh
