When is his contract up?

I can see GWS or other clubs making a huge play for him at years end.

I know he is becoming a really good grab for us and a year ago I would have been all for trading himmand teams could have got him for next to nothing but now we could pick up a first rounder or a quality player wh wants to trade

To me Nahas dosent really show tiger pride and I could literally see him leaving us some time in the future.

I'm probably wrong he most likely would want to stay ... But I don't know i have a weird feeling some talk will come about with this kids future.

I would love for him to stay but wouldnt be surprised if he was interested in other clubs.

Thoughts?

So clubs will be interested in a midget who has played 4 good games in a row?
You are basing an entire thread on Nahas changing clubs on that and the fact that you seem to think he doesn't enjoy playing for Richmond?
And you are also insinuating that after 4 good games, he is now worth something with trade currency? He is still worth nothing on the trade market.

Nahas is a perfect player for us at the moment.

Cost us nothing... is probably earning a wage at the lower end of the scale but is playing very, very well.
Getting great value for our investment at the moment. :thumbsu:

I wonder what Morton earns?

Midget ! he is 9 cm taller than me - I am off to cry in my beer.
- being serious though - you make a good point - but if he continues his good form to the end of season obviously his worth will increase - (back to thread)but then why would we want to trade an inform 'goal sneak' - I reckon he works pretty good with Push Up.

This is a really poor theory, Nahas owes the world to Richmond for giving him a go when others thought he was to small, his recent performance has shown he's taking his role at the club more seriously, and at the end of the day, GWS will need big bodies to help protect the young kids, and that's not Nahas.

Terrible thread... He doesn't show tiger pride? Wtf kind of comment is that... The bloke has a heart the size of pharlap, no one in our side try's harder then he does. I'm amazed by some of the criticism he still cops on here, stop living in the past and appreciate the talent that he has after being able to put together a full pre-season for the first time.

If our b&f votes were tallied up right now he would EASILY be in the top 3, I wouldn't be surprised if he was leading and if the tab offered odds on the b&f I would of put money on him.

Hmm, interesting. Is that you Robbie? :)

We'd like you to stay, but sadly you are no Dustin Martin, sorry.

And if you have no desire to stay for the ride, then hasta la vista little buddy.

if they counted the B&F now, it would be nahas how far...his currency is growing by the week. I would be signing him now with a 300k base + bonuses for brownlows, AA and norm smiths. if his current form endures at 30 possies a game his base will more likely be worth 400k on the open market

Its an interesting situation. I am not 100% sure, but i think he does come off contract this year.

I think most of us would have had him penciled in as on the chopping block a few months ago, but now with a handful of great games under his belt so far that has probably changed. If he can keep up this sort of form for the rest of the year then i think Bojangles 300k offer is pretty good. Maybe it was just second year blues for him last year.

It seems like we have a lot of players that are really improving since Hardwick came to the club that a lot of people would have happily gotten rid of a year or two ago.

Like someone once said, even if we got Franklin we probably would have delisted him anyway.

I actually think Nahas can contribute.

I must admit I didn't see this happening!! I was wrong about Nahas!!

However, if Nahas can keep running like he has , a bit like KB in terms of his run, chipping in through the midfield and kicking goals he is valuable. Agree, trade bait for the likes of St Kilda or others in the premiership window but also a valuable player to keep with potential more upside!!

I've not been a Nahas fan, and said there was no space for a dedicated small forward that can't rotate through the midfield....
But he has picked up from where Nason has left off. Hard running midfielder. If he continues the form that he has showed, there is clearly a spot for him in the future.

Make or break year for him, he'll be 25 next year and if his going really really well he should be moved on, don't need list cloggers and can't keep making the same old Richmond mistake of not moving mid aged players on earlier.

Agree on the first point. Doesn't necesarily win the B&F to get another year, just show good improvement.
He's 23 now. Its amazing how different it sounds, depending on how you quote his age.
I think you mean if he's NOT going really really well.
But yes, you're opinion has come thru....

Its interesting how many people would only want him to improve as trade bait.

I think if Nahas keeps improving his game, keeps working hard, and importantly keeps playing like he has the past month he can be a great contributor for us.

"Ok boys, here's the plan - have a great pre-season, get super fit, start starring for the Tigers in their quest for glory...and as a reward for all your hard work we'll trade you"

totally agree. why would we trade someone who provides so much link play? if he keeps this up all year we'd be fools to trade him.:o

also losing edwards at the start of the game agaisnt the dogs lost us some of that 'link-up' play.
