Guess you'll be crying this year when Dogs keep you out of finals like you did last year when Port ended your season. Ah well. Fingers crossed you lot finally make it 👍
Not really, I maintained if it came to the last game v bulldogs we were no chance so be it

Anyways port ending our season was a real high point for you guys in hindsight.
Certainly served you well come finals time!!

Just crazy how Nas will be on 2m, TDK on 1.8m, and the guy who is an absolute heart and soul player and who is earmarked as the future captain has been convinced to take 750K or so..

How could you not feel a little peeved I mean really..

Whichever way you look at it, it's absolutely deplorable (the list management at this club), and will almost certainly result in other good players being pushed out/wanting to leave.
is that you Jay Clark

Not true, Nas clearly wanted out but you guys couldn’t convince his management you’d get the picks required. So he’s signed for 2 awaiting another go. Make no mistake, deals don’t get done just because the player wants out. The acquiring club has a big part in the decision being made.
You are obviously trolling
Players 99% of the time get to the club they nominate as Adelaide and port fans have said in every 2nd post through this whole thread

As he just said in his presser it wouldn’t feel right to walk out in the friends he’s made and he looks forward to success with the team saints are building full of talented kids

can someone explain to me how paying Nasiah 2 million over 2 years is a massive win for the Saints? He’s a good player, but overpaying to retain a player is not a win and show of Faith.

Are there really this many gullible saints fans on here using the 2.5m per year and 30m total garbage sprouted by Morris? What Tom Morris wrote is false but he worded it to not be wrong yet still be deceiving... It was never 30m total nor was it 2.5m per year for 12 years 🤦 The ONLY person who has ever really been factual and specific was Cal Twomey who mentioned Port had front loaded the first 2 years at 2m roughly and then reduced it over the remaining. So those gullible, naive and ignorant people from Saints and other supporters claiming he turned down all this money and Port are bad blab blah blah stop being sheep listening to moronic imbeciles like Morris and there other journalists who do the same crap.
Morris’s number might not be right, but Cal’s been away, so what you’re describing there presumably was what Cal reported a number of weeks ago.

So are you suggesting that Port haven’t upped their offer since then, especially off the back of his outrageous form in the midfield for the first time in his career?

It sounds like our offer might have gone up as much as half a mil PA in just the last 3-4 weeks, are you suggesting Port have just been sitting on theirs?

Not overpaid with the cap space. His strengths are too good

Overpaid would be a mil + on a midfielder who was a liability forward of centre and at covering the ground....

Look, moving forward; Josh Carr knows fully well that we have to hit the ground running next year.

As much as most oppo fans shit on our list, the list is not as bad as people think it is. It needs a retool instead of a rebuild. I think now making the decision to re-sign Zak is a bit tougher, and again this puts more emphasis on hitting the ground running next year. Also, we need Crippa/CD to have an incredible offseason, especially during the trade period.

I think we can rebound next season , and with a good offseason and fewer injuries, I would expect that we'll make finals next season. Not having Ken should make a huge difference, and having a coach who can coach, understands Port Adelaide, and is extremely ruthless could be beneficial.

So with that being said, I think our clubs will throw the kitchen sink at Nas. The interesting bit in two years will be how much money both of our teams are going to throw at him on top of where are clubs will be their should be a bounce back by both clubs.
Your backline is a disaster zone.

You can't rebound until that is properly addressed .

No more band aids like Sav or BZT.

With the salary cap going up a fair bit I don't think these numbers are actually that crazy. They are ballpark.

They will be hoping to push for finals next year and get a contract extension in the year. So a 2 year contract is a decent strategy. Ball is in St Kilda's court. Just need to make finals to give him hope they are going somewhere, and the biggest key of all is for Rossy Lyon to get him settled down with a Melbourne woman, and he won't leave then. 90% of these guys stay where the girlfriend/wife wants to be. If he ends up with an SA girl, then bon voyage!

Sav and BZT aren’t “band-aid” especially BZT he a serviceable defender that he’s role well.

In saying that yeah agree we need do need depth again you just hope that now with nas on the back burner for the moment we can hopefully lock down Butters contract quick. You don’t want that hanging around going into next season and then from their we bring in good depth.

Harrison Ramm is looking very good in the SANFL and if he keeps the form into pre-season he aid that void in defence.

Ok so the backline is a disaster

Jay Clark running the 'here's how they kept him' story about NWM.

Last night he was speculating about what Adelaide were going to offer in a trade when the inevitable happened.

It's amusing how the narrative from salty neutrals has changed from potting us for having the warchest to potting us for using the warchest.

It screams of cope that maybe their clubs top players will want more money and they don't have the cap space.

Should be paying Ryan Byrnes and Hunter Clark 850k per year to meet the cap minimum instead

Correct, they dont even bother asking usually unless they think it can get done, thats why we dont hear about deals fallin through
