It's good for the Saints but he's leaving after this extension.
At least he's not being held hostage like Oliver and Trac who can't wait to get out.

Wow, that's a lot of salt.Stoked for the Saints to sign him for 2 years.
Probably should have picked a better day to announce it as most Port fans would have been preoccupied with the turmoil at the cross town rival to be too salty about this.
If I were Ports list management I'd turn the page and forget about him, you either want to be with us or you dont, none of this revisit it in 2 yrs rubbish.
Leave him in Melbourne away from his Family and friends if he likes it so much.
He's a good player but teams will put time into him and negate his inpact.
$2m is a lot of coin, lets see how he handles that pressure.

Yes but take responsibility for your mistake. All the best. Many were. It's a stunning decision, and a great one for the Saints.

SOS left Carlton in 2019.What we are paying 4 big players you are going to be paying 2. And who stuffed up blues salary cap oh yes the person who is in charge of the saints list.

Holy cope. You all realise Hinkley is gone this year, right? Not going to have a checked-out coach for the next two years. Really think we’ll stay bad for 2 years with an easy schedule while having Georgiades top five in the Coleman race, star mids like Butters and JHF, then Rozee and Bergman who can play anywhere. We’ll have all our talls: Aliir, Esava, Luko, and Marshall, who were all hurt this year. Berry, Moraes, and Whitlock all coming on at the end of the year.Port will be coming off three straight disastrous years when NAS comes out of contract. You might get some kids well into the future, but the league is removing any discounts for that, and they still won't be contributing by then
Port's list is a shocker, and after being smashed worse that West Coast this year it's worrying that their fan base can't see that.
Not salty at all to be honest, I'd rather the club concentrate on keeping Butters who's game oozes the hard nosed Port way, than waste another minute on him if he's happy to not be here.Wow, that's a lot of salt.
Nas laying in the bed he's made:Not salty at all to be honest, I'd rather the club concentrate on keeping Butters who's game oozes the hard nosed Port way, than waste another minute on him if he's happy to not be here.
Nothing against Nas, seems like a great guy and wish him well, but he's made his bed, lay in it.
You said Carlton salary cap is tight.. Rubbish, we had 1mil to offer TDK that wont be used, had $800k to use on McGovern if he met his trigger clause, had $700k on the table for JSOS, Docherty retires prob on $600k.. None of our players have had good enough seasons to warrant a payrise, and only Walsh to extend who is already on good $ and cant imagine it will get much higher.SOS left Carlton in 2019.
But sure what happened to your salary cap was on SOS and I’m sure you are probably thinking what happened this year relates to him to
I mean it 100% has nothing to do with:
Cripps signing a new 6 year deal deal in 2021
Curnow signing a new 6 year deal in 2022
McKay signing a new 7 year deal in 2022
Walsh signing a new 4 year deal in 2022
Weitering signing a new 6 year deal in 2024
Cerra signing a new 5 year deal at the start of 2025
McGovern signed a new deal in 2023
Saad got traded at the end of 2020 to Carlton
Williams joined at the end of 2020
Hewett joined in 2021 and signed a new deal this year aswell
Bloody sos hey. Even when he wasn’t there he still ****ed the place up. What a legend
Correct.

Based on this we should have 3mil to be aggressive with in the trade period.
He still thinks Nas is coming and SFA the saints can do but eat shit picksYou okay cobber?
Mmm nah imo Ross on a big say NWM saying for 2 years. NAS had the opportunity to stay longer but didn’t which clearly said he wanted to see how both our clubs are in two years from now. Crom are out of the race for sure.By all accounts, Nas really likes it at the Saints. A few more here might want to think about that before digging for theories as to why he didn't go to their club.

I never said that..You said SOS had stuffed your salary cap.
I evidently showed you that’s not the case. I don’t care how much you might have in cap. You’re losing TDK because you can’t come to the table enough to close this gap - not even needing to match.
So before you make comments about what he is doing for us, recognise he didn’t do it to you.
He also had a chance to go to port where he has all those family connections and all those superstars or to Adelaide where he might win a flag.Mmm nah imo Ross on a big say NWM saying for 2 years. Do you not think teams aren't already putting time into him?Stoked for the Saints to sign him for 2 years.

Yeah, nah, NWM could have been a Saint for life if he really wanted to, but you guys presented the offer to him, and he only took the 2 instead of the 7/8 year offer. He also had a chance to go to port where he has all those family connections and all those superstars or to Adelaide where he might win a flag.
He stays at the saints. Clearly rates what’s happening there just fine.
People don’t accept because he had the opportunity to sign a way longer contract and it also said he’ll wants to have both of our clubs track.Sure, Ross is part of the reason… but he’s not the only reason.
Nas is clearly happy at the club. People don’t seem to want to accept that.
I see we've reached the "Ak-tually he's an over-rated overpaid average player and we never wanted him anyway" stage of a trade thread....
If NWM requests a trade to us then we will in the similar situation as now thoYour mental gymnastics to prove port power has relevancy is outstanding.
Here is one for you,
“Well, you don’t know me that well and Graeme Allan.
“There wouldn’t be a deal that would satisfy us.”
But nothing picks and nothings players apparently gets NWM done
I won’t even be worried of Port in 2 years unless you have an incredible asset hand.
People don’t accept because he had the opportunity to sign a way longer contract and it also said he’ll wants to have both of our clubs track.
He was never going to Adelaide there just getting used so Ben can get more money out of both of our clubs.
That's the point; I and many don't see the "happiness in staying with your club" that you're implying.I'm actually not arguing that he wants to see where we're sitting in 2 years. I don't blame him.
What I'm saying is that some seem to be looking for reasons that he stayed, other than he is actually happy at the club.
