Once again, no change, still 2-3 weeks away.
Can somebody from the club actually tell us what's going on?
May as well put his cue in the rack for 2014.
I thought this thread may give us some info on what's going on. Alas no. Just another thread telling us what we already know and have known for nearly six months.

The club should invest in stem cell research to produce 'super' hamstrings or look into artificial hamstrings.
Seriously, someone has to flag the extended soft tissue injury epidemic running through the club, at this years AGM.
This cannot be sold as 'bad luck' alone.

I believe he is down to a week now though fwiw, and will play not this weekend but the one after (crossing everything and touching wood)

I hope you are right. Don't understand why a club official injury list dated 28th July would still have him at 2-3 weeks?

I expect nothing from Freeman and will be be pleasantly surprised if he ever plays a game for us. I don't blame anyone but he is a wasted draft pick to me until proven otherwise. We seem to have developed a talent for recruiting fragile players.

Although, I also note that Swan & others have also not changed this week.
Perhaps the IT guys changed the Injury List date & are still awaiting the Football department to give them the latest update info?

I also note that we have 2 VFL players (Couch & Orval) with Hamstring injuries listed as 'Indefinite'.

Or you could just get over it, these days it takes as long as it takes.. we aint in the 80's with 3 week hammys anymore.. these players are Formula 1 machines being driven to the very edge.. even at training
I understand that, however I am concerned that our club seem to be more affected than others, or is that just my imagination?
It's very frustrating......but I'm over it. .............:)

That's a calm and rationale approach to the situation.

First year player. He'll be right next season. No rush now.
Get 10 games in him next year and use him as the sub a few times. Relax

Very worrying. It seems this may be an ongoing issue like Cyril Rioli's recurring hamstring problems.. He bases his game on explosive speed. What a wonderful year we've had with our draftees.:mad:

Unlike but so true. :(

It's a hamstring tendon. It will repair. Olympic sprinters can have trouble but it doesn't affect their whole career. Eliott had a few hammy before he was drafted, hardly career ending.

I like your optimism but it strikes me as very concerning that he has done both hammys. Throw in Adam Oxley and Sharenberg and we should be demanding a refund. Basically nothing from three high draft picks. Patience is a virtue when you know you have a gun but we don't even know what (if anything) these boys are capable of producing.
