He's not saying he's too good to play, damnit, he's indicating that he does not want to play. That is perfectly fair enough.

Imagine if your dad was an astronaut and everyone in the entire world wanted you to be an astronaut as well and you could if you wanted to (because your dad was an astronaut and you passed physics, you can be an astronaut too, you can be better than your dad and be the first human to walk on Mars or save an entire alien race from extinction) but you'd rather be an actor.
Would you say "I'm too good to be an astronaut" or "I don't want to be an astronaut"??

It's no good making Nathan sign a contract he doesn't want (which would render it void ANYWAY) and making him spend ten years in a career he doesn't want.

Spot on Kgirl !!. To me footy at the A level these days needs more than just talent. If your mixed in emotion in anyway you just do it. Its very much if your in , your all in. No ankle swimming

My mail was he had alot of pressure put on him to go through the Falcons process and this was a big part of him backing away. Anyone else heard this?

I can't believe anyone wouldn't want to play for the Cats. I love them and if I was a footballer I would play for them. Maybe the reason is that he dosen't like his brother Gary. You know how some older brothers are mean to their little brothers.

My friend Daniels older brother is always teasing him and calling him a girl and he hates his older brother so much he once put ice cubes in his bed.

They still live together, you'd think that if they hated each other that much, one of them would move out. I think Nathan is just more like his dad than Gary. Gary is apparently a far more outgoing type, whereas Nathan is far more shy. He may just be scared that what happened to his dad may happen to him. In the end, nobody really knows why he doesn't want to play, perhaps someone from the club just needs to talk to him and ask him why he doesn't want to play for the cats?????

Ice cubes in the bed, hmmm not a bad idea :D

you would think that GAJ would have popped the topic up a few times if they live together then. Which makes you think that Nathan really doens't want to play football. Do many people go and watch Nathan play locally? I know i would.

Nathan Ablett is a fantastic youngster, but at the moment I can't see him playing for us.
