his broken leg is fine there is no need to stress about that lol

Not being a pesimist but the break was so bad and all the hot spot talk makes me wonder sometimes how fit Browny really is. Why did he miss the last 3 or 4 games when he was absolutely motoring on the field and we were pushing finals.

I hope and plan to be wrong about this but I think he might still be a little restricted. 22 games for Browny this year is my dream other than an Andy Collins debut.

Sorry , forgot to give you props for an awsome joke in your post. I'm sure he'll break into the side no worries!

He was frustrating at times last year. Played a few games that appeared to be about N. Brown, not about the RFC. Got plenty of the ball, missed plenty of goals. A bit cheap. I reckon he should have been dropped late in the year after the Carlton game. But, I agree with nut in that he's a luxury, and a very, very handy one at that.

Brown now becomes the luxury type player. The player you can throw into the middle occasionally fo a quick lift or the player you can leave in the forwardline and kick his 2-3 goals a game, a player that will be always demanding a very good defender.

...

When people say we still lack a small forward I just laugh. We have the best small forward in the comp, it's just we have relied on him too much up the ground.

Browny in the middle of the ground or down back (not to be confused with midfield or defense) brought added skill to the area tha he was in, but too often it left the forward line short of manpower. Theres no point in being able to bring it out of defense if there is a single forward against 2 defenders. I think of the addition of players that can rotate to the forward line, and the forwards drift south bound is a great ploy. Back to Browny, we just don't have anybody to replace him. I'd love to see him go another step forward next year tho. Don't want to write him off yet!!!

Think that the combination of cuz coming to the tiges, the rise of cotch and the consolidation of lids as a future superstar, richo havind an absolute blinder last year, and most the young blokes progressing well and starting to make names for themselves, could be the best thing that could have happened to browny at this stage of his career.

Besides regaining something like his full fitness, he has had now had the chance to get back up to the pace of AFL again through solid game time last year, and for the first time for a long while he has been able to quietly go about his business through the pre season without the usual hype and be in pretty much perfect nick for the year ahead.

As a former out and out champion of the game, who was cut down in his prime, he'd have to have a burning desire to outshine the new young guns, the pirennial old school champions, and the newcomer superstar poster boy, and put his name back up in lights where it belongs in the comp while he's still capable.

If he really wants it and has got back to somewhere near peak physical and match fitness, he could be an absolute weapon for us this year. If that happens, and cog gets back somewhere near his best, we are starting to look scary good in 09-10!!! :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:
