Interesting it was mentioned that his hamstring has been causing him problems and he hasn't been able to get up to full speed regularly. Some (or one) on here seem to have written him off already, but there seems to be a reason he has been playing like he's holding back a bit.

True and That would Explain why his Speed has been off

Im ******* over these ******* injuries and setbacks.

Just wished we'd get a week where we had some good news.
Bottom two teams are the Brions and Blose. Cheer up.

Someone please put a permanent watch on JDG. 3 of our 4 top 10 picks have gone down with injury. We need to ensure DeGoo stays safe

Truly baffling to think that his hamstring hasn't been right all this time and they still played him...

Kid comes off an serious hamstring tendon tear, has setbacks with it, then struggles in the VFL because it's giving him problems.. so they decide to keep playing him and now he needs surgery...........

I was watching the VFL replay and was thinking that he hadn't accelerated once all game. This explains that I guess.

What makes already bad news even worse is that speed is a major attribute of his. Not sure what he becomes if he loses some of his acceleration power permanently.

A taller Jarryd Blair.

Not good news at all but at least it means that they may be able to fix him properly.

It always greatly amuses me that all the BF surgeons and even bio-mechanics come on these threads with their expert views. Kappa picking up his hammy problems in his first VFL game this year is a ripper......

Please quote where I said that.

Pretty much everyone who has seen the VFL has said he didn't look quite right, you clearly have no clue. I said he looked like he didn't have confidence in his body in the round 1 VFL review.

Sounds like he's just having a bit of trouble with scar tissue around the hammy, nothing that can't be fixed but still unfortunate he'll miss 4-6 weeks.

Ha, he could have at least contacted the medical staff at the club and provided his diagnosis. We wouldn't be where we are today if he'd done the right thing.

Maybe it something that has come the last few weeks

Never saw Freeman as anything more than a Matt White (Port)...should never have drafted him IMO. Sheed aside (WA bound), I reckon either of the former two were better pre-draft.

So you are Smarter then Hine then:rolleyes:

That said, I doubt he will ever be a Matt White given our pathetic development program that has literally cut down Marsh, Freeman and Moore in the last two years. It is NO coincidence that all three have suffered serious hamstring injuries. It really disgusts me how poor our management of these kids has been...

I don't need to be a surgeon to know that having surgery on your hamstring after being pronounced fully fit doesn't speed up a recovery that he wasn't having o_O
The surgery might help , you know what I ****ing meant anyway.

You Writing Off Freeman and Moore Already:rolleyes:

Just an opinion Dave. Would never believe myself to be smarter than Hine however I believe he erred on this occasion, lured by pace rather than talent.

Well There where quite a Few others that Saw Freeman as a Top 10 Talent. Was not just Hine
