Sauce?Oh, so Mick39 is/was drafted_hawk or whatever his name was?
Obviously a retread of someone though. If we're saying "was", is he no longer with us?

Nothing more needs to be saidTime to stop having a crack at the boy.
If it was your son who'd been at a club for 2 years injured, how would you feel about it?
Then along comes the team your whole family, (supposedly) barracks for and offers you a fresh start.
Not only that, they will give you 3 years of certain income, not income based on a contingency.
Alternatively, he can stay at the club where he's been injured and sign a contract with an injury clause in it, (which by the way I understand being in his contract).
FFS - give the kid a break, let him go and let's move on.
Listening to the Birdman and see your avatarA sample of one does no such thing. He's not the first and won't be the last under any fitness team.

Yep, if I got drafted to the Saints and found a way to get to my beloved pies I'd do it. Bucks spent less time at Brisbane.Nothing more needs to be said
Thankyou Anzac
Marsh has ripped his left and right hamstring completely off the bone in his two years at the club.
A few weeks before the draft Bont wasn't even in top 10 contention. Then it was revealed the pies were interested and he shot in to top 5. Imagine if our interest hadn't leaked and we got Shaz at 6 and Bont at 10....Knew the Bont would be gone before our pick, clearly remember it was Shaz or Aish then hope the one we didn't pick dropped to 10
A bit harsh on the young man. Especially if he can't get to play in front of 80k crowds . 'Best' facilities is a bit contentious too.LOL at me !!!
I am so p1ssed off at the moment it's best I refrain from commenting.
I never though Freeman would leave.
Who leaves a club that gets regular blockbusters in fron of 80k crowds & best facilities to play for minnows.
A d1ckhe@d !!!

I have absolutely no problem with Freeman going for garaunteed money. I have been saying all along that is the smart thing to do.
I do have problems if anyone is publicly coming out and saying they think he has been medically mismanaged, or that the surgeon is at fault... that is libelous, and you better have some ******* good medical evidence to back that up.
I understand families wishing the best for their kid, and I can understand that when things don't work out as planned, the first response is to look at someone, or something, to blame... unfortunately life generally doesn't work like that, and you generally can't just keep pointing blame without acknowledging that there are often lots of factors involved, and part of that could easily be pointed (potentially) at the individual himself and how he approached his recovery.
I can also understand if his father has a history as a an athlete, and may have his own history of hamstring injuries/recovery, and has every right to give Nathan his opinion and use that to make decisions... but don't think that that discounts someone who is, probably, an experienced specialist in this particular field. (and Freeman, his family, or the club, would always have had the opportunity to seek 2nd, or 3rd, opinions at any point if they didn't want to get ahead with what was being proposed and wanted to seek advice from elsewhere)
I recall he was still well considrred, i check ema quayle for where players likely to goIf i remember correctly Bontempelli was not in top 10 calculations at midway point of the TAC cup but his back end of the year was simply outstanding, Dogs would have taken him anyway.

(I am not suggesting this was the case - just suggesting that it is just as likely, if not much moreso, than putting blame on the surgeon and/or physios)

The bulldogs didn't selected him just because they heard we liked him. That would be insane.
Thinking that the Bulldogs make their crucial drafting decision on a top 5 draft pick based on who the media thinks Collingwood is interested in.
How do people think that? Why is it so hard to believe that the bulldogs just liked Bontempelli like us?
Shhhhhhhh......If i remember correctly Bontempelli was not in top 10 calculations at midway point of the TAC cup but his back end of the year was simply outstanding, Dogs would have taken him anyway.

Why are we looking at 2nd and 3rd round picks? He cost us a top ten pick surely a first round pick is the way to go...

So by your logic you think Jack Watts is still worth pick 1-18 in a trade then? Why are we looking at 2nd and 3rd round picks? He cost us a top ten pick surely a first round pick is the way to go...
