nba knicks - playoffs?

I think they have the most depth in the nba.

Their starting five is good, its just so inconsistent.

We're talented alright.

Deep.....somewhat.

No backcourt depth beyond Nate Robinson though. Fred Jones is not being used when he should be....and Mardy Collins has for some reason been demoted.

Balkman and Lee are quality backups though. Both and relentless on the glass and play with heart.
Once Jared Jefferies gets back we'll be better for it.
I'd love a backup center though. Jerome James is always injured and out of shape.

They do have talent and I have always said, ZeBo in the East will be a perenial All-Star. He was a 20/10 player in the loaded West. In the weak East he is a STUD!

Defensively..... well thats another story.

In the East, Knicks could make the play offs but only if they stay injury free and they gel quickly.

I watched the game the other night against Denver. They went to Curry alot more, but Randolph's 2nd chance points and Oreb's is what ya love him for. He is a gun! If those 2 stay healthy they will be there.

Their team just doesn't seem to fit together at all. I don't think there is enough D or outside shooting for the playoffs.

They have plenty of outside shooting with Crawford, QRich, Marbury. However their main problem is interior defense. If Curry can amp up and play D like he did in the last quarter of the Denver game then that would be a big help to their team, but the chances of this happening are somewhat slim. Simply motivate Curry and Randolph to play a bit of D and with Crawford and Marbury playing like they are at the moment, with the support of Lee and Balkman off the bench this team should make the playoffs.

Id love to say that the Knicks will make the playoffs, but i think its unlikely.

There are still too many question marks over their players.

Crawford and Starbury are too inconsistent and neither is very good defensively. Robinson doesnt do anything except shoot 3's and he doesnt do that very well.

Most of their players are too incosistent and dont play enough D.

Lee is the key player...hes one of the few players we have that hustles every night, is a monster on the boards and plays tough D. i think we'll have most of our success by pairing him with either Z-Bo or Curry.

Everything would have to go right for the Knicks to scrape into the playoffs.

that is a much more defensive team.

with lee (12/10) and balkman (8/4/2/1/1) explosiveness of the bench.

Wilcox is a beast on the offensive boards, and defence.

I would love that team which is also cheaper as well.

They have guys who like to shoot, doesn't mean that they are good at it.

Wilcox is a pretty average defender IMO.

I've just heard he didnt rock up to practice and took a plane home but was given permission too but Knicks are denying they did.

They're in trouble, if they're looking too ship him off they'd struggle to find a buyer, who would want Marbury with the contract he's got?!

They will be around the mark, but will most likely just fall short. I can't see them winning more than 44 games, but they will win at least 34. I'll go half away between and predict them for a 39-43 record.

I think that club has had a 'me first' attitude for far too long, and too many of those headcases and chemistry just won't make it work..

mate boston is chemistry only because it has 3 starters and two who hide in the shadows

Garnett has the boards and the tips

Boston are good, but depth will be a problem
