positive to that though is sunday games will be live on onehd so thats a positive to increase our national exposure.

dunno why they went 28game season. makes sense to go 32 to keep it fair, 2 home and 2 away v each team.

also not happy with blaze draw. we got mainly sunday arvo games. alot of our market prefer sat nights so they can attend to drink/party after. may affect our crowds.

Exactly what happened to the Wildcats, we scored 10 bloody Sunday games and 1 Saturday night game. Fair to say I'm extremely ropable about this coz I'm one of the ones who thoroughly enjoyed Saturday night at the Basketball here in Perth as a night out. Not sure how I'm gonna cope with this paradigm shift but I'm sure it won't be pretty.

Edit: Just had a look at your schedule and I don't think your statement was very accurate, you only have 4 Sunday games where as we have 10, by far the most out of any team.

Hurry up and bring back the Brisbane Bullets!

and the Canberra Cannons! theres nothing there to do in Canberra! The players who played for Canberra or played an away game in Canberra can vouch me on that assumption. I was there in Canberra once too, what a dead boring town!

Them or a new franchise from the Central Coast.

Taipans have signed Ayinde Ubaka (Import, Gold Coast Blaze last season) and Kerry Williams (Local who has played for the Taipans for a while now...

How each team is shaping up-

Adelaide 36ers- http://twitter.com/adelaide36ers
PG:????????/Rhys Carter
SG:Nathan Herbert/Darren Ng- http://twitter.com/DarrenNg8
SF:????????/Brad Hill
PF:Adam Ballinger/Jacob Holmes
C:Daniel Johnson/Jeff Dowdell

My say- Not a big upgrade, if any, in talent from last season's last place finish, the imports will be the difference in how far this team gets.

Cairns Taipans
PG:Ayinde Ubaka- http://twitter.com/yindex/Kerry Williams
SG:Phil Jones/Daniel Dillon
SF:???????/Aaron Grabau
PF:Alex Loughton/Dusty Rychart- http://twitter.com/dusty_rychart
C:Ian Crosswhite/????????

My say- Should improve from last season, some nice injections of offense.

Gold Coast Blaze- http://twitter.com/GCBlaze
PG:Adam Gibson/Jason Cadee
SG:James Harvey/Chris Goulding- http://twitter.com/ChrisGoulding43
SF:????????/Tom Garlepp
PF:Anthony Petrie/Stephen Hoare
C:Rick Rickert/Bennett Davison

My say-Talented roster once again, should get as far as last year or better.

Melbourne Tiger
PG:TJ Campbell/Daryl Corletto
SG:Eric Devendorf/Bennie Lewis- http://twitter.com/bennieboom9
SF:Cameron Tragardh/Lucas Walker
PF:Matt Burston/Tommy Greer
C:Luke Nevill/Wade Helliwell

My say- Lots of talent, but too many players playing out of position, could be hit or miss.

New Zealand Breakers- http://twitter.com/NZBreakers
PG:??????????/Paul Henare
SG:CJ Bruton/Corey Webster
SF:Kirk Penney/Tom Abercrombie
PF:Mika Vukona/Dillon Boucher
C:?????????/Alex Pledger

My say- Should be another talented Breakers team this year, although talent didn't help them last year. On talent alone they are contenders, but games aren't played on paper.

Perth Wildcats- http://twitter.com/perthwildcats
PG:Damian Martin/Brad Robbins
SG:Kevin Lisch- http://twitter.com/CatsLisch/Drew Williamson
SF:Stephen Weigh/Cam Tovey
PF:Shawn Redhage/Jesse Wagstaff- http://twitter.com/CatsWagstaff
C:Matthew Knight/Jeremiah Trueman

My say- The champs should be contenders again, retained most of last years roster, and upgraded starting C with a much better fit in Matt Knight.

Sydney Kings- http://twitter.com/thesydneykings
PG:Luke Cooper/Luke Martin
SG:Damien Ryan/Jared Scoines
SF:Taj McCullough/Graeme Dann/Ben Madgen
PF:Rod Grizzard/Ben Knight
C:Julian Khazzouh/Blagoj Janev

My say- On paper, it doesn't look like they will make the playoffs, but with the hardworking players they've got, they could suprise.

Townsville Crocodiles- http://twitter.com/TsvCrocs
PG:?????????/Nathan Crosswell
SG:Michael Cedar/Brad Williamson- http://twitter.com/willo43
SF:Peter Crawford/Todd Blanchfield
PF:Rusty Hinder- http://twitter.com/rustyhinder/Gabe Freeman
C:Luke Schenscher- http://twitter.com/TheRealSchensh/Ben Allen

My say: Will be a tough team like every year, probably getting knocked out in the semis like every year aswell.

Wollongong Hawks- http://twitter.com/wollongonghawks
PG:???????/Rhys Martin
SG:Matt Campbell/Tim Coenraad
SF:Glen Saville/Dan Jackson- http://twitter.com/danjackson9
PF:Dave Gruber/Oscar Forman- http://twitter.com/oscarforman
C:Larry Davidson/Tim Behrendorff

My say: The over-achievers from last year look even less talented this year. Although you can't underestimate this team after making the Grand Final last year with no Ty McKee.

I like the look Freeman. Interestingly I think he had a positive A sample test for dope, which could be interesting if that happens again - but he looks class.

If we can snaffle up a good, all round import point guard, I reckon the roster is looking pretty good.

NBL general manager Chuck Harmison will personally oversee a meeting at Carina in August that is shaping as the last throw of the dice in the city's push for a professional basketball franchise.

While fans and supporters are welcome at the meeting, the gathering is designed to find genuine business opportunities and contacts to help fund the venture, which must meet the NBL's strict solvency guidelines to ensure any franchise is a longterm entity and not a financial flash in the pan.

The meeting will be held at the Carina Leagues Club on Creek Road on Wednesday, August 11, at 6.30pm.

Haha its kinda cool in a lame way...not taking itself too serious. Shoot to Thrill was an interesting choice haha

Gold Coast Blaze
PG:Adam Gibson/Jason Cadee
SG:James Harvey/Chris Goulding
SF:????????/Tom Garlepp
PF:Anthony Petrie/Stephen Hoare
C:Rick Rickert/Bennett Davison

My say-Talented roster once again, should get as far as last year or better.

I sat next to (well there was an empty seat in the middle) Bennet Davison from LA to Brisbane. Really nice guy. Hope he goes well, he looks very fit and is massive!

Melbourne Tiger
PG:TJ Campbell/Daryl Corletto
SG:Eric Devendorf/Bennie Lewis-
SF:Cameron Tragardh/Lucas Walker
PF:Matt Burston/Tommy Greer
C:Luke Nevill/Wade Helliwell

Davendorf is an absolute star. I watched a fair bit of him when he was at 'Cuse.

Also saw a bit of TJ Campbell at Portland. Same conference as St. Mary's.

Nevill is perhaps the biggest coup of the off-season for mine. I dead set thought he'd get drafted after he made BJ Mullens cry after a pre-draft workout.

I'll try and get to as many Tigers games as possible this year. And put some hard earned on them to win it all!

Townsville Crocodiles
PG:?????????/Nathan Crosswell
SG:Michael Cedar/Brad Williamson
SF:Peter Crawford/Todd Blanchfield
PF:Rusty Hinder/ Gabe Freeman
C:Luke Schenscher/Ben Allen

Still think Ben Allen should give AFL a go. He has definitely played before and could make much more $ than he could in basketball.
