look guys no disrespect intended of m robran i think he was a good footballer hell he played proberly 150 games plus (dont quote me) in the afl he had to be good. but was he a game breaking, dominate chf no way! we have been lucky enough to have 2 of these players one t.modra the other d.jarmann ,but never in the most important position on the ground .this young lad may well be our best hope who knows he can only give it his best shot and if he does not succeed well he tried. think of some of the best chf's you can name,b.robran,p.carey,heart ,w.carey.brown,lowe to name a few woun't it be great if we had found that same sort of player, that is what a game breaking chf.s is.

Some weird recollections of Robran in my opinion. At his best he was very good, almost as good as his father some said, but he could shank a kick and frustrate as good as Perrie on an off day. Also wasn't as mobile as the new generation of CHFs were at the time, but could take down a heavy mark.

Sorry to get off the topic but that is rubbish. His father was twice as good as Wayne Carey.

"At his best" and "some said" are huge qualifications to that statement. Not saying I agree with it, and I'm not going pretend like I was even alive when Robran senior was kicking around.

others said he played like he was the son of the postman!

Do you guys have a comprehension problem? You got so riled at the first part of the sentence, you couldn't even read the qualifications I put on that.

I dont mean to stalk (:D)

But heres a comment Mckernan left on one of his mates myspace pages..

"heyy brother
nm just chillin
yehh its mad
settled in pretty good
livin with 2 of the senior players
started trainnig yesterday
****in nuts
got payed a lil bit 2day its fair good"

Seems he's settling in really well! It's much better seeing this then hearing the often cliche's spoken in the media (Watts and Meesen come to mind).

Wonder who the two senior players are?

Not having a go at you mate but even allowing for these qualifications the highlighted bit I made on your post was way over the top. I realise you are only going on what you have been told but whoever had that perception is in na na land. I personally wasn't riled just thought it had to be corrected.

At his best Matthew was a very good player. However the best comparison I could give is at his best Matthew would be a mini leaguer whilst his father was playing in the As. That's how far apart they were talent wise.
