The Adelaide Crows’ new headquarters and other AFL construction plans could be thrown into turmoil after CFMEU Victorian leader John Setka threatened to cease co-operation on league-related projects unless its head of umpiring is sacked.
Mr Setka said the construction union would not work with the AFL to address cost overruns or delays on projects until former building watchdog and current head of umpiring Stephen McBurney was sacked.
Mr Setka told The Australian that the move would “have implications for the AFL right across Australia”.

Did he used to be on the ABCC or something? Demanding individuals be sacked for their previous jobs is pretty standard for Setka. I believe he once said the families of members of the ABCC should be harassed.

If these people can show that they bought the house BEFORE football started at West Lakes, then sure. Otherwise, they bought their property knowing there was football there. Bit much to then complain about the noise football makes.

Too true...how can you complain when you buy a house next to a massive football stadium??? Going to assume that is a VERY small group of people who built prior to construction in 1973? You would basically have to be like 75, and have never moved.
