so Ross when the ability to save the replay feature is implemented into a future afl title it will only be available on the ps3 version

Seriously though, Facebook is now also on the 360 isn't it? If so, I would say this feature will be on all 3 systems (PC-360-PS3).

This game would be awesome if you could have radio and tv commentary during gameplay. And if the list of commentators included:

Garry Lyon
James Brayshaw
Rex Hunt
Dennis Commetti(already included or so we have been told)
Dermett Brertton(with the option to turn his voice off)
Bruce Mcavaney(also with the option to turn off)
Brian "BT" Taylor

Dont know if i have forgotten any would love to hear if there is anyone else i should add or if there is someone i should take off the list.

What's wrong with Bruce? I'd put the bold comment beside a lot of other commentators before Bruce.

Bruce and Dennis would have been the best pairing IMO. I may have been dreaming (or having a nightmare more like it), but didn't Ross say BT would be the other commentator, or don't we know yet?

I havent heard a thing about "BT" but it would be awesome to have him in the game. And on the bruce mcavaney matter i dont hate him just after a while he gets annoying.

Dennis Cometti and Brian Taylor will be doing commentary for the game.

That has just made my day hopefully brian does his famous wowweee and something to the effect of what he did with tripple m with neon leon etc....

Someone stated in the previous thread, that BT and Dennis wouldnt work well together as commentary for the game
They do alright on 3AW saturdays (even though ratings would suggest otherwise)

The PS3 has special access to developers for uploading videos to Youtube directly.

The other implementation for something like the 360 would be how COD: BO does it by uploading it to a site and then on-linking it to Youtube.

The way the PS3 does it is like in Uncharted 2 and Just Cause 2, straight to Youtube.

This has been a feature under-utilised for a long time, but it's good to see we'll have it in the next AFL game at least.

It's only specific games that allow the capabilities as like a lot of things that the PS3 can do they leave it up to the developer to implement.

Thankfully this stuff of theater mode is really taking off due to it's popularity in games like Halo and COD so expect to see it in FAR more games.

Reckon you may need to re-sub part 7 mate

There is no difference between any of the systems with lag.

Pure PC, PS3, Xbox are peer to peer systems - you are as "laggy" as the worst link of the players in the game, ie if someone is downloading torrents etc.. then expect lag for everyone in the game.

EA have didcated servers on MS/PS3/PC that reduce the lag by having all peers communicate with the one server, but as above, no one platform is better than another.

Based on the FAQ, the game looks pretty damn good and I'm looking forward to it but I a question-

Will there be a camera like the one in AFL Premiership 2005? I know the game was no good but the camera worked great for me. I never liked the Fifa Tele camera so I was forced to use the Pro Cam but whenever I used that, the camera gives me a horrible view when defending whereas in AFL 05, it changes the view depending on who has the ball.

That's awesome that Brian Taylor is doing the commentary! Cannot wait to hear his lines as soon as Leon Davis has the ball within the forward 50 or even when he kicks a goal!

Hopefully in the next iteration of the AFL game there will be an NBA 2k-like save and upload system of replays and possibly with the ability to edit them and add effects and the like.....make a competition out of it and have round by round winners could work.

Yeah. it's a strange one. MS own a part of FaceBook yet they don't allow us access - and that's the key - they don't allow us to "talk" to youtube and facebook.

It's not a matter of support or development by MS or Sony, it's more that they just don't block us from doing it. So at this stage we have it implemented for PS3 only.
