Re: New AFL Video Game - Part 8 - READ FAQ BEFORE POSTING

I like this idea. Something like replay the last 5 minutes of the first GF, things like that.

Good thinking but going on last years grand final it would be pretty hard to kick 8-9+ goals to nothing because going on madden moments it usualy a situation where you are behind or hold off a fast finishing team to win the game( ie you wold be playing as st kilda) and all the madden moments are set to a pre set difficulty ( either pro( little bit harder than easy) or all pro(little bit harder than a medium difficulty)) but it would be easy to change. amd you could cahnge it to be not just a come from behind/win the game situation the moments could alos be usd as achievements ie: get 30+ possesions in a half with judd,Play as richmond and win by ten goals, kick ten goals with jack riewoldt etc.... these are just some of the moments of season 2010 that could be used there are tons more that could be used but if you have played madden moments you will understand what i mean

and that is why it would be a great feature in future afl games provided this upcming game sells enough copies and generates enough interest to warrant a follow up game

Re: New AFL Video Game - Part 8 - READ FAQ BEFORE POSTING

Will Warren Tredrea (my idol) be in it? Since hes retired, will any of the 2010 retiries be in the game?

I haven't been on here in a while but is there any release date announcement yet.

And don't tell me to read the FAQ because there I've done that already.

Well...from the FAQ:

Release date is unknown, don’t bother asking as Big Ant can’t tell us. The publisher will make up their mind when to release it. Our resident EB games guru speculates it will be out early next year. (2011)

Re: New AFL Video Game - Part 8 - READ FAQ BEFORE POSTING

I went to my local EB Games this morning to check out the "coming soon" cover and it is advertising that there are 50 plus teams available (AFL, VFL, TAC) on ALL consoles. Now its my understanding that all three comps are only available on the Wii version of the game (made by Wicked Witch).

So to me thats false advertising EB. Sort it out Glenno23. ;)

It would be awesome if all 3 leagues were in and there were 50odd teams in all console versions but sadly I don't think this will be the case for any of the consoles the wii might have the afformentioned teams or leagues but I'm pretty sure the pc and ps3 and xbox360 won't have these features sadly

Re: New AFL Video Game - Part 8 - READ FAQ BEFORE POSTING

Went to EB today and didn't see anything AFL related

I read on the AFL 2011 FB page that there will be SANFL and WAFL as well included. Was SANFL and WAFL not on the cover you saw? Or did you just not include it in your post?

Reading what was on the AFL 2011 page without pissing yourself laughing was probably where you went wrong. Wouldn't really pay attention to anything the page said, some was straight off the FAQ here, other stuff was made up.

Are you Quist btw?

Re: New AFL Video Game - Part 8 - READ FAQ BEFORE POSTING

Hopefully one of the more focused additions to the 2nd installment of AFL will be the Create a Pro mode. From there, incorporating VFL, WAFL, SANFL and QFL would be beneficial to have your pro represent the state he is from and then drafted after the TAC cup and move up accordingly.

Would be happy with the way EA/2K do their Be A Pro/My Player mode in that you compete in a few matches with all the top potential draftees and where you get picked in the draft depends on how well you play in those games (Similar to how the AFL works anyway).

After that, if your not good enough you go down to the seconds (state league) for your team for a while or if your doing well, you stay in the seniors.

A few different types of generic players to fill all the state teams and a reasonable ranking system to tell you how you played each game (A to F in a few different categories or something similar) and I'd be more than happy.

Getting way ahead of things, I know, but no harm in speculating.

Would have loved a simple form of 'player lock' type feature to make it into this version though, even just for exhibition matches.

No WAFL or SANFL. I believe that AFL 2011 FB page has been shut down because its wrong.

Re: New AFL Video Game - Part 8 - READ FAQ BEFORE POSTING

Anyone have any shots of the display covers in EB?

The display cover at EB is exactly the same as the Wii ad that was on here a few threads ago....so nothing new!

It was more of a photo from the ad than new cover art.

Re: New AFL Video Game - Part 8 - READ FAQ BEFORE POSTING

well if the info on the covers isnt true, then isnt that misleading.

Looks like a PS2 game to me.

Re: New AFL Video Game - Part 8 - READ FAQ BEFORE POSTING

Wow why would you advertise a game with a picture of a different game by a different company from 4 years ago? That's like putting a Call of Duty 3 picture on a COD 8 poster

Re: New AFL Video Game - Part 8 - READ FAQ BEFORE POSTING

It's just a filler image because EB(I assume it's EB) didn't have anything else to use.
