Hopefully we can look forward to the following feature (to be in the Wii version) in the ps3 title in the future!

A Career mode where, as mentioned, before you can begin in the TAC Cup and work your way up to premiership glory. Key aspects of this mode are:

o The ability to complete straight trades or complex three way trades with multiple players and even trade draft picks.
o Contract negotiation
o Email inbox.
o Face the tribunal.
o Choose medical treatment for player injuries.
o Juggle finances such as staff wages, ticketing and merchandise.
o 29 player attributes to train to improve your teams ability.
o Win the Brownlow, club best and fairest, Coleman medal, NAB rising star and the Norm Smith medal.​

I agree wholeheartedly with the first one, second and third, but why 29 player attributes? And with the 'choose your own treatment' thing, are going to make a player go to America and have them prescribed medical marijuana? And to add to that the ability to see the statistics and form of players not in your 22, and the WAFL, VFL etc.

Same, nevertheless both games will be cracking. Love WW and the kicks like Wii Bowling, getting some curve and along the ground. Can't wait to be Peter Daicos!

Maybe the Wii version is closer to release, so the publisher have allowed a little more to be told

There was that advertisement in our catalogue which was released in early Deceember, so its obvious the publisher doesn't mind the info out for this one, while they're keeping the 360 and PS3 versions for one big bang (marketing campaign)

I would put it down to our buying team not knowing better

They saw that the same publisher were doing the 3 titles and thought it was being developed by the same team

Its very rare that the same game would come out in roughly the same time frame with 2 different devs on 3 platforms

The PS2 photo on the back was just plain lazy

TBH,m i'm prety upset they didn't put the recall in. My state manager put the email out to SA, WA and NT (the 3 states he manages) but obviously the eastern states have not been told or CBF

EB in Melbourne Central has a fake box and it says 10 season manager mode.

Not sure why EB would allow this. People read the feature list and then pre-order the game.

Because i visit here a few times a day. This is pretty much the only place to get info

i guess not a lot of EB managers are on the forums....

I would reckon that EB employees would have NFI whether the game has been cancelled. Considering it hasn't even been fully announced yet, they probably saw that the hold date got changed from March to April and jumped to a conclusion

This for me confirms that the whispers are full of shit!

I'm sure Ross will confirm later tha the game is not being cancelled...

If I was HES I would seriously consider releasing some info soon. If god forbid sales are disappointing they should well ask the question 'why was our response to a massive eight part internet thread where future customers clamoured for the smallest piece of info for six months did we do completley nothing the whole time?'

Would be surprised if a paltry smatter of screenshots and effectively gagging the game creator is considered great community engagement by anyone.

For the record I think Ross has been sensational - this is only about the message, not the messenger.

Also I don't think this is rocket sceince. We're talking a bit of twitter and an official facebook page - that would be a good start. Maybe a cover competiion with a mention in the credits on offer. Or if HES want to get really exciting, a Q&A post where they answer a top ten most commonly asked questions or something.

Edit - I was going to say I hope there's no trouble behind the scenes but thought that was muckraking. But there you go, what else are people going to start saying when there's no official info.

It's about consolidation.

Wii title costs less to make but has the wider market to sell so they're getting whatever they can out early to make sure people know there is a Wii version and get your pre-orders on now.

PS3/360/PC versions will cost more to make and have a lower profit margin, so the marketing campaign and release of info has to be very concentrated and intense to make sure they get as many pre-orders and sales as possible. If they release info too early, they run the risk of people forgetting to pre-order or just forgetting about the game altogether.

That's my take anyway.

GOD this is getting annoying. What the **** do whispers know? Seriously! We have the CEO of BigAnt right here on the site, do you think if there were any potential issues with the game not being released that he'd still be happily posting here?
