Please be aware the decision will be made by the administrators not by number of times a nominee was put forward etc although this will be taken into considersation. This is not a popularity vote, decisions will be made purely on suitability for the role or whomever we have the most damning evidence aginst and who concedes quickest at the torture ceremony.

I would not have time to mod nor do I have the inclination to be honest. I done some Union work in my 20's and then found it difficult to defend individuals that I thought had acted improper. Nothing has changed. Thanks for the nomination anyway. That is very kind. Regards all. John

there has never been the suggestion of a vote. The part of my first post here stating the number of "nominations" will be taken into consideration again does not constitute a vote. It has always been clear that it will be the administrators decision. Hey it could even be someone who was not nominated but whom the administrators decide would be the best person for the job.

I will ask the admins to correct me if I am wring but Mods are not "voted" on on any of the boards. I was approached to mod this board in Feb 2003 and there was not vote then as there will be no vote now. Since your join date there has been no change to the moderators of this board.

IMO couldn't a vote by posters, although not a binding vote (i wouldn't assume such), be a better indication of who has the board's support than a pure list of names suggested, so that the administrators can have that knowledge for when they make their decision.

Mods are not voted by users - and that has been the case on all Boards.

Lady Lawrence posted somewhere ...as did someone else....that Mods are not appointed via a popularity contest.

Of course the frequency of nomination is a contributing factor....and that will be considered....but there are many others which include suitability, ability to be here regularly, and of course posting and infraction history.
