New EFC website

New website is up and running, some positives here and there but we seem to have been bent over by Telstra/AFL to use the standard template website and have lost a lot of the unique content, hopefully that all gets brought back in eventually. Some seriously ordinary mistakes though which looks like amateur hour.

Yeeap. Bloody bulls#it. Our website (up till now) has been the absolute best of every club for years. Soo annoyed. Hopefully, it continues to have some originality about it.

There are a few blatantly wrong things:

• Do a search and it will come up with results for Adelaide Crows?
• Search actually seems to be a random word generator. Do a search for "Hird" and you get results for "current players" (Crows of course)
• EFC logo is listed as Essendon Lions FFC
• Link to news archive is seriously wrong http://www.essendonfc.com.au/news/news-archive
• 3rd column is a bit useless - go to news and media page and you get everything twice.

Of course most of these things are teething issues but the whole site is just too busy, trying to shove too much info at you IMO. Having the Telstra rubbish at top and bottom doesn't help of course.
Videos seem to be better and I can view them on my mobile finally. Now if only we could get a decent resolution (high setting is good for mobile only!)

Some of the fan comments below the articles on the site are every bit as embarrassing and mindless as the 12 year olds who post rubbish on the club's Facebook page.

I see a few things have been fixed, you can now access photos without seeing the boundary umpire. Although the Telstra template style is permanent

Riolio on b blitz had a great mockup, surely there was no great benefit to efc to go down this path?
