Yep, he wore 14 from 1992-1997 (or 1998?). I remember he kicked 10 goals in the Reserves in his last season, but was delisted a couple of weeks later. He wasn't that bad, but still didn't set the world on fire.

The irony is quite amusing, to say the least.

Here and on Cats Claw, people were rebuking the club for their decision to recruit him, and then they've given him David Clarke's infamous number #14. They really must love the bloke ;)

Spinks came to Geelong in 1998, so Handley must have been delisted at the end of the 1997 season.

That's right.

Set the world on fire in the first half of the season Spinks did, with bags of 4, 5 and 6, but went missing thereafter.
