There had been some doubt since none of the digital images had it, in that photoshoot picture it is there.

Maybe it's because as west as it is, it's better than ours. AFL seem to have an obsession with white guernseys.

Sure. But gold is a light colour too and that would be an obvious choice of colour for a clash guernsey for West Coast, Adelaide, Brisbane and Gold Coast. The only team who probably doesn't have any alternative but to wear white, even though it's not one of their official colours, is Melbourne.

I used the line that's on the Home jumpers as well, then put the Red & Gold outside it.
With the gradient, that's where they finished.
I'll have a better look on an actual jumper, but I can't see the template changing between Home and Clash.
