Hopefully pretty well. If it means that with there being an official retro round that we lose the jumper for the showdown then our home jumper up until 1996 would be good. If we still get the home showdown then I’d love to see an AFL era jumper for the retro round.i there officially a retro round?
How does this work for Port?

I will need to buy this. It is the jumper I played most of my junior footy in and I still love it.Nah not official, the Dogs ran a competition to select a retro jumper to wear as a one off this year. The choices were the 44 navy jumper, the 75 jumper and the 95 away jumper. Have no idea why the 95 away won, it's horrendous. My vote was for the 44 navy.
Ahh, CoinSpot just downgrades everything it touches, doesn't it...Another look at the Bulldogs retro round jumper, and the back:

What club wore this design and do they still use it?I will need to buy this. It is the jumper I played most of my junior footy in and I still love it.
It was Queens Park J.F.C. in Perth. Unfortunately they have since become defunct. What club wore this design and do they still use it?
Ok boomer.View attachment 1753228View attachment 1753229
These were the other two choices for this years retro round. I personally would have preferred either of these two over ‘diamond dog’ but I guess the Millennials were voting?
Ok boomer.
I wonder if they'll release a long sleeve version, would absolutely slap
except I’m no boomer, my parents are boomers. XMy old team. But i played before this jumper was in use. We wore east perth jumpers when i was running around. It was Queens Park J.F.C. in Perth. Unfortunately they have since become defunct.
The seniors club still used the same jumper with some indigenous art on it as can be seen in the picture being worn by Ben Cousins. The jumper worn by Cousins in the photo below is their regular jumper. They do something different for NAIDOC week.
For those that do not know, There is an aboriginal mission across the road from the footy oval, so indigenous presence is strong within the club. Anecdotally I have been told many times, Polly Farmer grew up/lived across the road from the oval. View attachment 1753265
thought it was for Maddie's match hope the saints do something for thatRichmond’s purple jumper is for the annual AMF game, the saints purple is/was for Maddie’s match. Too different foundations but same main colour haha

My first year or two with QP was in the East Perth jumpers. Queens Park then switched into the Perth Demons district from, I believe, the East Freo district. Kenwick already wore the Royals jumper so we had a new jumper and colours from that season onwards. My old team. But i played before this jumper was in use. We wore east perth jumpers when i was running around.

Surely the collar is that big you could fit it inside itI hate the placement of the ASICS logo, getting pushed down to suit the design. Would look substantially better without it.

i'm pretty sure most votes like this aren't all that legitI really do wonder on the legitimacy of the vote, this jumper was used in the 1995 and 1996 pre season cup in which they were knocked out in the seond round and in the 1996 season where they finished second last to only Fitzroy was also used a couple of times in 1995, not exactly a jumper that would bring back wonderful memories for Bulldogs supporters, so how could it actually win a vote?
All up it was used:
1996 11 Away games for a record of 1 and 10 (a 15 point win against Fitzroy after merger was announced)
1995 1 Home and 2 Away for a 1 and 2 record (The win was against West Coast at Subiaco)
Pre Season 2-2 (Beat Collingwood 1995 and Fitzroy 1996)
So all up 18 games and 4 and 14 win/loss ratio or 22% win rate, or 2 and 12 for a 14% if you look at proper games only.
It's all in the aesthetic. It's not a vote about memories, it's just what looks funky.I really do wonder on the legitimacy of the vote, this jumper was used in the 1995 and 1996 pre season cup in which they were knocked out in the seond round and in the 1996 season where they finished second last to only Fitzroy was also used a couple of times in 1995, not exactly a jumper that would bring back wonderful memories for Bulldogs supporters, so how could it actually win a vote?
