Hi guys. Sorry for the inconvenience but just curious on what guernsey Port will wear this weekend against Brisbane?
I’ve done some research and remembered Port wore their home kit with white shorts away to Brisbane from 2011-2019 but from 2020 onwards Port have worn their clash guernsey. Just wanted to ask everyone whether or not there’s a clash between these two teams home kits because there’s worse clashes and I’m a bit confused by this.
Considering this matchup could’ve happened in the grand final the last two seasons I would think depending on the home/away teams we would’ve seen both home kits and the away team wearing white shorts. I’ve added some pictures of the guernsey matchup down below so I guess feel free to share your thoughts and opinions.

We could get away with the home jumper and white shorts, but there's no doubt the better option is the clash kit for contrast. I'd just be happy to make the grand final so wouldn't care if we were in our clash kit!

I don't know why the AFL doesn't schedule the Indigenous / SDN round during NAIDOC. Logistically, it makes sense.

Away clash typically at the Gabba. Worn the white/grey last few outings up North.

You're right, black kit white shorts was pre-2020, for some reason don't see them changing their current approach.

Because then the AFL's celebrations get lost amongst the wider NAIDOC Week. It's a cynical viewpoint but from a commercial point of view it makes sense

I'd say it's purely because if you left it this late in the season, when half of the league are effectively out of contention, you would probably see less Guernsey sales. Most of the unique Guernsey designs seem to drop early on when people are not yet burnt out on the team
