I have a website where I track all the jumper and uniform variations throughout the history of the game.
Each new jumper is a different Jumper and two Uniforms I have to re-create.
So less work for me.

Plus; additional jumpers add nothing to the game.
They have become a false economy of retail options that only end up diminishing the value of the brand identity of the clubs.
Also Mero sorry just looking at your Melbourne Cup page for 2025, Middle Earth came third but it says Parchment Party.

Great take, home jumpers have definitely lost appeal to one off jumpers in recent years unfortunately.

I don't think clubs need a home and away indigenous jumper. One jumper worn in one round creates more value and also increases the importance and recognition of the round and message itself. For example would the grand final be as appealing and prestigious if there were 4 played throughout the year?

I think clubs should have:
Home
Away (Clash)
Indigenous (Only to be worn Indigenous round)
Retro (To be worn in Gather round only)
Anzac (Only to be worn ANZAC weekend)
And if they must, one other one off sorts (Brisbanes 2 aways, Giants never surrender Etc.)
It's gonna vary from club to club. Some teams just have a home/ clash, others have a dedicated away jumper too.

Clubs like to be able to wear the indigenous jumper in front of their home crowd - but agree they don't need 2 versions. Eagles also wear it during NAIDOC week, which makes sense so don't think that should be restricted. Clubs may also want to wear in any NT games.

I don't think teams should be forced to have a Gather round jumper if they have better things to celebrate, like a premiership anniversary (ie WC 2006). Could also use in gather round if they want, but would def be worn at Home.

Dees wanting to honour the Redlegs presumably with that first one 👀
Would've thought they would have played at Norwood at some point in 4 years of Gather Round with that connection (and being a smaller club).

Weirdly they've been fixtured against Essendon at Adelaide Oval 3 out of 4 years and the other time Melbourne played the Crows and Essendon played Port (2024).
