Ok I will admit that i will probably get berated by my fellow supporters for crossing the floor but...

I was really impresssed by your kids last night in particular in order Lonergan, Riemers and Meyers.

Thought Lonergans clearance work was sensational as was Riemers, good kids for the future.

Yeah, how did myers go? From what I've seen in previous weeks he seems like a very classy sort of a player...

Looks like a clean one-touch player. Good footy brain

Yep, he looks all class. Very clean and has a long penetrating left boot.

Very tall for a MID and his height will allow him to play in many different roles. It is interesting to note that he is only 1cm shorter than Pears, who was drafted as a KP player.

Went well mate. Easily his best game for the club. Showed poise and good disposal generally. Kicked a magnificent goal after winning the clearance then running down, receiving the handball and snapping a lovely goal for 45 metres. Allayed my fears somewhat that all no. 6 picks turn out to be poor players for their clubs. Not one for superstitions but this has irked me for a while:eek:

Nah, but seriously he is looking very good in his short time at Essendon. Should remian in the seniors for the rest of the season. Looking to be a decent draft last year.

Lonergan was exceptional with his in and under work. Houli was reasonable without setting the world on fire. Reimers had a good night.

Hislop and Jetta very quiet though. Can excuse Hislop with his ac joint injury. Jetta is severely lacking confidence and may be playing slightly injured. Have to persist with him though.

You forgot to add Houli. I thought it was his second best game for our club.

Thanks mate.

Recruiting over the past few years for us has been absolutely magnificent, and players that we have drafted over the last few years such Houli, Hislop, Myers, Lonergan, Hocking, Dempsey, Riemers, Jetta, Neagle, Davey, Gumbleton, Pears and Ryder all look like they will become great players for us, and hopefully create a strong premiership team for us in the future.

The drafting over the past few years has saved our ass big time, and if it wasn't for the very good drafting in recent years, our future would be looking very bleak at the moment. IMO, we are just needing 1 small and tall defender, and im optimistic that we'll have the right ingredients to be genuine premiership contenders in about 3-5 years time.

Looks slow and lumbersome. Having seen footage of him prior to his drafting, I thought he was slow then too. If Knights is to carry on with his running game, I find it odd that we drafted him. Your thoughts?

P.S. I'm not criticising he could be a great player it's just that I don't see how he suits the style Knights is implementing.

Tested at 2.91 over 20m at the draft camp, which was in the top 10%% im preety sure. Cant expect too much for his first season.

I know TV is different to live, but last night it looked to me he was moving more freely than he has been, not sure if it is true or not.

I don't think he is overly slow, he doesn't hve to be the quickest player as we have enough of those as it is, but he has only had an injury interupted half a pre-season and start to the season, he'll be fine.

If he has a footy brain like we all hope and think he does, he doesn't need to be super quick.
