* Wushu confused: - some Chinese beat the crap out of each other sport)
* Golf
* Rugby 7's rolleyes: crap game)

Out -

* Triathlon
* Softball
* Baseball

That's actually pretty big news. Cant' beleive softball and baseball have been dumped. They're very "Olympiccy" sports IMO.

Seriously though, I'm surprised that all those three sports have been omitted, especially Triathlon - surely that sport is what the Olympics should be about.

we can do without baseball & softball..
but yeah, its a shame that the triathalon got the flick...

wushu is the martial arts style that Jet Li is a master of..

Surely Chess deserves a shot at the Olympics? It is one of the most played sports in the world. It at least has a higher participation rate than Wushu and Rugby!

Its not a sport, its a boardgame. Bring monopoly in aswell while youre at it, and checkers, scrabble...oh dont forget upwords.

FIDE has been pushing the IOC to include chess in the olympics for decades now, and for the last few olympics it has been an exhibition sport.
